Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Quarterback Plays for Fantasy Aces

Tom Brady (@ CLE, $7,400)

Brady is the third-highest priced quarterback on the site, but he also shapes up as the top signal caller on the slate. Fresh off a four-game suspension, look for him to be in "Angry Tom" mode in his 2016 debut. He gets an easy matchup right off the bat against a Browns defense that has not offered much resistance to opposing passing games this season. The Browns' pass defense ranks 21st in the league in DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. While there's a chance the Patriots get out to a big lead and run the ball extensively in the second half, there's also a chance Brady keeps his foot on the gas pedal and tries to hang as many points on the scoreboard as possible. Even if they do let up on the hapless Browns, Brady will still be in position to pay off his salary by the time the third quarter ends.

Carson Wentz (@ DET, $6,400)

Wentz has been on a nice roll to start off his NFL career, passing for 769 yards and five touchdowns through three games. He has several factors working in his favor in his Week 5 matchup against the Lions. First, Detroit has the worst pass defenses in the league. Detroit is ranked 32nd out of 32 teams in pass defense DVOA by Football Outsiders. Furthermore, Wentz is expected to get talented tight end Zach Ertz back from injury. Not to sound repetitive, but the Lions are also quite bad at defending opposing tight ends, an issue which has been ongoing for a few years now.

Running Back Plays for Fantasy Aces

Melvin Gordon (@ OAK, $5,300)

Gordon remains the bell cow in San Diego, and while his 2.02 YPC over the past two weeks have been disappointing, he has found his way into the end zone three times over than span. Gordon has also been active in the passing game, hauling in 10 catches over the past two games, which raises his floor for fantasy owners. The second-year back has enjoyed one of the easiest running back schedules in the league and that will continue with a matchup against the Raiders on Sunday. Oakland's run defense ranks 29th in DVOA and just 24th in the passing game against pass-catching running backs. All this and Gordon's price only went up $200 from last week.

Jerick McKinnon (vs. HOU, $4,500)

McKinnon narrowly edged out Jordan Howard as the top value play on the slate. The Texans run defense has been sneakily bad this season, with the loss of J.J. Watt not doing much to help in that department. Furthermore, Houston's tough pass defense should make it hard for Minnesota to move the ball through the air, funneling extra work McKinnon's way. McKinnon is the clear lead back in Minnesota and enjoyed a strong game in Week 4 against a tough Giants run defense, picking up 85 yards and scoring a touchdown. He should find much easier sledding against the Texans in Week 5.

Wide Receiver Plays for Fantasy Aces

Odell Beckham, Jr. (@ GB, $6,200)

After a quiet (by his standards) start to the season, this is the week to pay up for Beckham. The star receiver has a good shot at turning in a huge performance against a Packers pass defense that has struggled in 2016 and will still be without their best cornerback, Sam Shields. With the Packers sporting a fierce run defense that should force the Giants to throw early and often, look for Beckham to make up for not paying off his daily salary in recent weeks.

DeSean Jackson (@ BAL, $4,700)

Jackson is up to his old inconsistent tricks, alternating big weeks with duds. Coming off a one-catch, five-yard outing against the Browns in Week 4, Jackson should be primed to bounce back in a big way this week. He will go from fighting off shadow coverage from Joe Haden in Week 4 to taking on Ravens cornerback Shareece Wright in Week 5. Wright is mostly responsible for the Michael Crabtree seven-catch, 88-yard, three-touchdown outburst in Week 4. Jackson's skill set and boom/bust nature makes him a better option in tournaments and an avoid in cash games.

Tight End Play for Fantasy Aces

Martellus Bennett (@ CLE, $4,150)

As mentioned above, with Tom Brady returning to the Patriots, you are going to want to have pieces of the New England passing game this week against the Browns. Bennett has proved to be a productive piece of the Patriots' passing game, topping 100 yards twice this season. He will take on a Browns defense that has really struggled to slow enemy tight ends this season. Cleveland is coming off of coughing up 73 yards and two receiving touchdowns to Jordan Reed in Week 4. With some mystery surrounding Rob Gronkowski and whether he's ready to run a full compliment of routes this weekend, Bennett should be in position to post yet another big game.
