FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (3/8/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Justin Bales highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/8/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

After a ridiculous two game slate last night, we're back to a nine game slate tonight. While we didn't quite hit double-digits for games, we still have more than enough options to consider. There are a plethora of ways we can go about lineup construction tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/8/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @BalesSJustin on Twitter. And make sure you're checking out the latest Live NBA Vegas Odds over at Lineups.com, with spreads, MLs, O/Us, and line movements from all the major sports books. Good luck!

FanDuel DFS Guards

Landry Shamet - PG, vs OKC ($4,400)

Shamet hasn't been an elite fantasy option, but he's locked into big minutes and he has found success recently. Over his last three games, he's averaging 17.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists (24.8 fantasy points) in 31.3 minutes per game. He has scored 19+ fantasy points in each of those games, while flashing 30+ fantasy point upside. He gets a decent matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Shamet is still cheap enough that he could potentially be used as your dropped score. For that reason, he can be considered in all leagues tonight.

Tim Hardaway Jr. - SG, at ORL ($5,300)

Hardaway Jr. recently struggled in a pair of games, but he saw limited minutes due to an illness. He stated that he was over that prior to his last game, in which he scored 25.6 fantasy points in 29 minutes. He's likely to play 30-35 minutes once again tonight, and Hardaway Jr. is the second option in the Dallas offense. His price tag is still low because of his recent struggles, but he comes with tremendous upside, especially in a solid matchup. Hardaway Jr. shouldn't be trusted in cash games, but he makes a great tournament option on this larger slate.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Otto Porter Jr. - SF, vs DET ($7,400)

Porter Jr. has seen his role in the NBA grow by a significant margin since being traded to the Chicago Bulls. In 10 games with Chicago, he's averaging 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 steals in 34.6 minutes per game. He has scored 30+ fantasy points in eight of his last nine games, failing to do so only in a game in which he played 14 minutes. Porter Jr. has also flashed tremendous upside, scoring 49, 46.7, and 53 fantasy points in three of those games. Porter gets somewhat of a difficult matchup against the Detroit Pistons, but his price tag doesn't take his upside into account.

Anthony Davis - PF, vs TOR ($7,400)

Are you ready to get weird? Davis' price tag is finally at the point where we can consider him in tournaments. He has played between 20 and 22 minutes in each of his last five games, but he has also scored 40+ fantasy points in three of them. Furthermore, he posted 49.7 fantasy points only two games ago against the Utah Jazz. Davis comes with terrible risk because of his lack of minutes, but he has proven that it hasn't slowed down his production. He certainly can't be trusted in cash games, but he will come with extremely low ownership because of his lack of playing time. Davis is strictly a GPP option in deep tournaments.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Andre Drummond - C, at CHI ($10,000)

Drummond was on fire for quite some time, but he has struggled a bit recently. With that being said, he owns 70+ fantasy point upside, which he recently flashed against the Atlanta Hawks. He gets another elite matchup tonight, as the Chicago Bulls have featured one of the worst defenses in the NBA against centers. Drummond is averaging 14.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 2.5 blocks, and 1.0 steal in only 26.4 minutes per game against Chicago this season. There is a real chance Drummond could go for 20/20 tonight.
