FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (3/5/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Hey y'all! Due to some complications, we're getting this up a little later in the day than usual, so I'm going to skip the whole in-depth introduction part and get right into talking about some players to target in tonight's NBA games.

There are six games happening in the NBA tonight! Multiple that by two and you get 12 teams, over one-third of the league!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/5/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Make sure you're checking out the latest Live NBA Vegas Odds over at Lineups.com, with spreads, MLs, O/Us, and line movements from all the major sports books.Good luck!

FanDuel DFS Guards

Damian Lillard - PG, @ MEM ($9,400)

Lillard has been really consistent lately and he's only the fifth-most expensive point guard on tonight's slate. Lillard has shot 46.6 percent from the floor over the past five games and 35 percent from three, but that second number was weighed down by what appeared to be some struggles to get his shot right following the All-Star break. It's looked more right over the last two games, and while Lillard's assist numbers aren't up where some other point guards's are, he's always a threat to score.

Memphis has been good defensively, though, and I can see that being a reason to be scared by Lillard, so if you're looking for a more risk-averse option, try a guy like Kyle Lowry against a Rockets defense that has given up points in droves at times this season.

Zach LaVine - SG, @ IND ($8,000)

LaVine has been a see-saw lately. Here are his scoring numbers since the All-Star break: 22, 42, 11, 30, 47, 12.

If you're playing LaVine, you're acknowledging that the bust risk is there, but you're also betting on him getting a high volume of shots for a Bulls team that doesn't have many scoring options. I mean...LaVine took 31 shots on March 1st! 29 on February 23rd! His price is starting to reflect that upside, but I still think it's worth playing a guy who can score at will on some nights while also adding in rebounding ability and steals. (Quick note: Yes, that March 1st game went to four overtimes, but LaVine still had 10 more shot attempts than any other Bull. This is his offense.)

Honestly, I'm close to making LaVine a nightly recommendation. Outside of Otto Porter and Lauri Markkanen, where's the offense going to come from for this team? LaVine's got that volume, and sometimes volume is king.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Bojan Bogdanovic - SF,  vs. CHI  ($6,500)

While the Bulls only allow the 11th-most points per game in the NBA, they also allow the 10th-highest three-point field goal percentage and fourth-most made threes in the league. Those things bode well for Bogdanovic, a 42.2 percent shooter from three-point land this year.

Bogdanovic has scored 18 or more points in seven straight games, and he's averaging 23.9 points on 52.6 percent shooting over that stretch while also putting up 4.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists. He's also the cheapest small forward that I feel confident in tonight as it's a pretty shallow night for the position.

Pascal Siakam - PF, vs. HOU ($7,600)

While Siakam's price does scare me a little -- only two power forwards cost more -- I like his matchup with Houston, who've recently let power forwards like Kelly Olynyk and John Collins put up strong numbers.

Siakam has scored 20 or more points in four of his last six games, and he's averaging 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and a block over that stretch. Siakam has been the biggest surprise of the season, in my opinion, and he seems to be peaking right now. I was concerned that the addition of Marc Gasol was going to be a problem for Siakam, but so far he's upped his game in response to that deal.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Vucevic - C, @ PHI ($10,500)

Vucevic is a little pricy and you might be tempted to spend half this amount on Marc Gasol, but I really like Vucevic's upside against a Sixers team that will be without Joel Embiid. DeMarcus Cousins just put up 25 points and eight rebounds against this team. Steven Adams grabbed 14 rebounds against them. Jusuf Nurkic had 24 and 10. This team is really, really susceptible to big games from centers when Embiid isn't there to man the middle.

Vucevic is averaging 22.5 points and 11.7 boards per game since the All-Star break, and he's also been hitting half of his threes since then while adding 5.3 assists per game. Vucevic is also swiping away 1.5 steals per night and blocking 1.8 shots. The resurgent Magic now sit eighth in the East, and Vucevic is going to do his best to keep them winning against the Sixers. This could be a big, big night for him.
