FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (3/2/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Corey Johnson highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/2/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

After an insane slate last night that included a 4-OT game which made it nearly impossible to cash without multiple pieces of that game, we can only hope that tonight's eight game slate is more predictable. As of Saturday morning, Embiid and Paul George have already been ruled out- there are multiple other players with questionable tags so be sure to monitor those throughout the day.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/2/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @cjohnson707 on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Ben Simmons - PG, vs GSW ($9,200)

Simmons was excellent last game without Embiid and will look to continue his productive ways in what should be a high-scoring affair against the Warriors. Simmons is still struggling to shoot the ball but his consistent rebounding and assisting makes him a triple- double threat nearly every night. The high paced play that this game should have is also a boost for Simmons who can rack up points driving the basket in transition. Simmons can be used in cash and tournaments as he is a fairly safe option- he should see 35+ minutes without Embiid on the floor snatching all the rebounds and usage.

Dennis Schroder - SG, at SAS ($5,100)

With Paul George out again, Schroder remains an excellent, relatively cheap, option for tonight. Last game with PG out, Schroder still did not bust the starting lineup but did play 33 minutes off the bench, out playing the starter Markieff Morris. In all honesty, I hope that happens again tonight- Schroder is an excellent 6th-man that embraces his role. If he moves into the starting lineup for tonight, all that means is more minutes with high usage guys like Westbrook and Adams. Regardless of the rotation, Schroder is an excellent option in both cash and tournament formats.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Brandon Ingram - SF, at PHX ($7,400)

Ingram has been excellent recently and the DFS world just doesn't seem to be picking up on it. Ingram should play 34-36 minutes tonight in an extremely favorable matchup against the Suns. The only downside is that this is the second leg of a back-to-back but there should little concern of fatigue for a young guy like Ingram. Ingram's shot attempts have increased since the all-star break and his consistent ability a rack up some assists and rebounds makes him an interesting option in tournaments. After a solid performance last night, there is a good chance that his ownership might be a little higher but it should still be low enough to make rostering him an excellent tournament pivot.

Dwight Powell - PF, vs MEM ($6,000)

Powell is the perfect high- upside tournament option for tonight as his minutes continue to soar well into the 30's. When Powell's minutes first increased drastically, at the beginning of February, his price drastically shot to the mid 5000's from his 3,700 price tag. But since then, his price has stayed fairly neutral and at just $6,000 tonight, he has a ceiling of 50 points, or nearly 9x value. Powell can fill the stat sheet on the offensive and defensive end and should be considered in all formats for tonight.

FanDuel DFS Centers

DeMarcus Cousins - C, at PHI ($8,500)

Cousins is getting back to his old ways and has finally gotten over the 30 minute threshold the last two games. At just $8,500, Cousins can crush value in just 30 minutes of action in what is expected to be the highest- scoring game of the night. The Warriors are favored by five points but as long as this game stays relatively close, there is no doubt that Cousins will litter the stat sheet with points, assist, and rebounds. A Cousins and Simmons mini-stack looks very interesting- as long as this game stays close, both of those players will be highly involved.
