FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/7/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Daniel Marcus highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/7/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We're in for a relatively light Wednesday slate with only six games on the night, likely to accommodate for the trade deadline. Without the benefit of news throughout the rest of the day, guards appear to the place to pay down tonight. Some of the cheaper options at both PG and SG have advantageous matchups, so for right now that's how I plan to attack the slate.

That said, my builds will start with Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler as my studs. From there, we'll need to find value which will also be highlighted throughout the article.

Below you will find our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/7/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Rajon Rondo PG - vs. IND ($4,800)

While still inconsistent, since DeMarcus Cousins has gone down for the season Rondo has seen his minutes and usage spike on multiple occasions. He’s not a comfortable cash game due to his inconsistency, but he has a legitimate chance to return 8X value if he has an effective night. I'd stay away from playing both he and Nikola Mirotic, so if Mirotic is your guy on tonight’s slate fade Rondo. When deciding between the two, I’ll take Rondo comfortably thanks to Indiana’s depleted guard situation (especially if Oladipo is unable to go tonight).

Langston Galloway PG - vs. BKN ($3,600)

Speaking of depleted guard situations, the Pistons remain down Reggie Jackson and could also be without Dwight Buycks, which would guarantee Galloway a fairly significant role against Brooklyn. The Nets will be on the back end of a back-to-back and struggle to stop guards regardless of their schedule. Watch news throughout the day to see if Buycks and which of he and Galloway will be in the rotation. Whichever of the two gets the minutes will be a prime punt play on the slate.

Danny Green SG - @PHO ($4,800)

Green has actually gained some consistency to his production of late, and should reasonably be expected to return 4X value based on recent form meaning he is a reasonable cash game target. However, there is upside for more as the Spurs draw a matchup against the Suns who are terrible defensively and also on the back end of a back-to-back.

Also Consider: Jrue Holiday SG - vs. IND ($7,600)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jimmy Butler SF - @CLE ($9,600)

The Cavs are an easy team to target right now, especially with opposing wings. We saw the Magic to exploit that matchup just last night, though it was somewhat difficult to determine whether to play Jonathan Simmons or Mario Hezonja to take advantage of that matchup. Tonight, there is no mystery. Play Jimmy Butler as a core part of all your lineups.

Josh Jackson SF - vs. SA ($5,900)

I’m not usually big on rostering or suggesting players on the back end of back-to-back games, but Josh Jackson appears to have figured out NBA competition. He has gotten consistent minutes and become a main part of the Suns offense as a result. He didn't shoot well in Tuesday's game but still managed to put up 32.5 FD points on $5,900 salary. Additionally, while the Spurs aren’t normally a matchup to target they have been vulnerable against wings of late. Jackson is one of the cheapest SFs that has a reliable floor on tonight’s slate, and given the savings available at guard there shouldn't be a need to dig for punt plays here.

Derrick Favors PF - @MEM ($5,500)

Like the Jazz team as a whole, Favors has looked reinvigorated since late December. He’s nothing special in terms of a GPP option, but he is a plug and play for cash lineups tonight. He should be safe for a 4.2X return on value (23 FD points), but could easily go 5.5X to 6X. For the production he provides, Favors remains underpriced which isn't easy to find on most slates.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Anthony Davis C - vs. IND ($11,900)

The Pacers have been a team to target with bigs all season. Given that Anthony Davis will be able to exploit that matchup tonight, he is one of the easiest building blocks of the slate. Not surprisingly, Davis has benefitted from the absence of Cousins, consistently approaching 60 FD points per game since he went down. The only thing that will reasonably slow him down is an injury and will be other high-priced stud alongside Jimmy Butler.
