FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/26/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Stan Son highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/26/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We've got a nine-game slate for Friday. The Grizzlies, Clippers, and Kings are playing the second leg of a back-to-back.

There are two games at 7:30 PM ET (IND@BOS and HOU@TOR), five games at 8:00 PM (PHO@CHI, LAC@MEM, UTA@MIA, ATL@OKC, and SAC@DET), and the late-night hammers at 10:00 PM are POR@LAL and CHA@GS.

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/26/21. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Keep an eye on Rotoballer’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Damian Lillard, PG - @ LAL ($10,300)

On the season, Lillard is averaging 1.33 FD per minute, 35.7 minutes, and garnering a 32.7 usage rate. Over the past seven games, the usage rate has spiked to 37.5 and he's contributed 54.25, 32, 66, 79, 61.25, 57.75, and 37.25 FD points. Now he gets a Lakers team that is boosting the fantasy points per minute to point guards by 7.13% above league average and has been torched for 114 and 127 points by the Jazz and Wizards respectively. Dame provides a high floor and plenty of ceiling.

Saben Lee, PG - vs. SAC ($5,400)

Dennis Smith Jr. is $500 cheaper and played five more minutes than Lee last game, but he is just too volatile for my liking. He's shooting 35% from the field on the season! Over the last three games, Lee has averaged 27.7 minutes, 15.3 points, three rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 steals while shooting 65% from the field. The field goal percentage will obviously regress, but he will still be way above Smith Jr. The consistency has also been remarkable as he's gone for 30.4, 33.6, and 32.3 FD points in the last three games. The Kings play at the 9th-fastest pace and are dead-last in defensive efficiency.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, SG -vs. ATL ($8,000)

Since missing four games, Shai has played in five contests. It took him a few games to get back into the groove, going for 33.6 and 27.3 FD points, but he's really picked it up the last three games. He's gone for 49.3, 39.9, and a season-high 56.6 FD points. On the season, he's averaging 1.19 FD points per minute and has gone for at least 50 FD points six times. Now he gets a matchup against a Hawks team that boosts the fantasy points per minute by 6.76% above league average.

Svi Mykhailiuk, SG - vs. SAC ($3,700)

On the season, Svi is averaging 0.77 FD points per minute. He's received at least 20 minutes of playing time seven times this season, with two of those the last two games. Last game, he played 28 minutes and provided 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists, good for 15.6 FD points. I know, it's not exciting but Saddiq Bey is questionable for Friday's game, which could slide Svi into the starting lineup for the second time this season. Svi does have a high of 29.9 FD points, so there's a remote chance at a ceiling game.

Also consider: Steph Curry ($10,000), TJ McConnell ($5,500), Paul George ($8,600), Tony Snell ($4,000)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kawhi Leonard, SF - @ MEM ($9,700)

Kawhi is averaging 1.34 FD points per minute. Over the last three games, he's gone for 48.4, 50.1, and 42 FD points. Now he gets a matchup against a Grizzlies team that boosts the fantasy points per minute to small forwards by a whopping 17.2% above league average, the most generous rate in the league.

Precious Achiuwa, SF - vs. UTA ($3,500)

This recommendation is predicated on the status of Bam Adebayo, who is listed as questionable due to knee tendinosis. If he's out, then Kelly Olynyk will likely slide down to center with Achiuwa getting his third start of the season at power forward. In the previous two starts when Bam was out, Achiuwa went for 37.1 and 24.2 FD points. On the season, he's averaging 0.94 FD points per minute. The matchup is a difficult one, as the Jazz are second in defensive efficiency but minutes are minutes and Achiuwa got busy against a 76ers team earlier in the season, a team that is fifth in defensive efficiency. If Bam plays, then ABORT, ABORT!

Jerami Grant, PF - vs. SAC ($7,600)

Grant is an inconsistent player because of the shooting efficiency. He's shot under 40% in 10 games and scored fewer than 30 FD points in eight games, with five of those coming in the last 10 games. This matchup against the Kings is a good one, though, as they play fast and are the worst defensive efficiency team. Against small forwards, in particular, they boost the fantasy points per minute by 7.23% above league average. Grant has shown the ability to produce ceiling games, as he's gone for at least 50 FD points three times, with one of those a 60-piece.

Isaiah Roby, PF - vs. ATL ($4,600)

Al Horford has been ruled out so Roby will likely make his 11th start of the season. In the prior 10, Roby averaged 27 minutes, 12.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.7 blocks while shooting 52% from the field. He produced 35.4, 25.8, 23.3, 34.3, 18.8, 29.5, 27.1, 36.9, 29.6, and 20.5 FD points. On the season, he's averaging 0.98 FD points per minute.

Also consider: LeBron James ($10,500), Danuel House ($4,500), Chris Boucher ($6,500), and Jae'sean Tate ($6,600)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Mason Plumlee, C - vs. SAC ($7,000)

Plumlee has taken you to the lows but also blessed you with euphoric highs. He's scored fewer than 20 FD points five times this season but has gone for over 50 two times, with the most recent in the last game. Now he gets the best matchup for centers in fantasy: The Sacramento Kings, who boost the fantasy points per minute by a robust 16.19% above league average. Is this a slam dunk recommendation? Unfortunately not because Plumlee has shown to be very inconsistent this season, but can't ask for a better environment and matchup.

Bismack Biyombo, C - @ GS ($3,500)

Cody Zeller injured his hip on Wednesday and is questionable for Friday's game. If he can't go, then Biyombo will start and play a ton of minutes. To begin the season, Biyombo started 16 games so this is not unchartered territory. During those starts, he averaged 27 minutes, 6.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. He went for at least 20 FD points in 10 of those games with a high of 37.5.
