FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/2/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Karl-Anthony Towns - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Corey Johnson highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/2/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

This is the largest Saturday slate I can remember in a while and should be jam packed with value and studs in excellent spots. There is a total of 11 games on the Main Slate so narrowing this article down to just five players is going to be tough. As always, some high-end studs will be left out- if you feel confident and can fit them in your roster, go for it!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/2/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @cjohnson707 on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

De'Aaron Fox - PG, vs PHI ($7,400)

Fox has continued to be an up-and-down type fantasy player and has been struggling of late. Regardless, tonight is an excellent opportunity for Fox to get back on track against a 76ers team that doesn't guard Point Guards all that well. This game has a 235 total and only a three point spread (76ers are favorites), meaning it is expected to be high pace, high scoring, and relatively close. As long as this game stays within striking distance, Fox should see around 33 minutes and has a near 60 FanDuel point ceiling. Fox should be reserved as a tournament play only.

Austin Rivers - SG, at UTA ($3,800)

James Harden is the obvious choice here but at this point, hopefully everybody knows that. With that being said, one of the best value plays for tonight is also a Houston guard. Chris Paul is expected to rest tonight meaning that Rivers should move into the starting lineup. At $3,800, Rivers has an excellent chance of crushing value as he should see 35 minutes. Of course, Harden absorbs a large chunk of the usage but it isn't out of the question for Rivers to total 25-30 FanDuel points. Rivers can be played in tournaments and in cash formats.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Harrison Barnes - SF, at CLE ($5,500)

In the one game that the Mavs have played since the trade, Barnes did not let fantasy owners down and there is no reason to believe that he won't continue his productive ways tonight. Luka Doncic may return from an ankle injury tonight which could slightly hurt Barnes' production but regardless, he should see nearly 35 minutes in what should be an excellent matchup against the Cavs. If Doncic is out again, Barnes is an excellent play in cash and tournaments. If Doncic plays tonight, reserving Barnes for just tournaments may be a good game plan.

Dwight Powell - PF, at CLE ($3,700)

This one is a little tricky- I've labeled Powell in the header because if Doncic plays (which it appears he will), Powell is an elite option. He is averaging nearly 22 actual points per 36 minutes with Doncic and with a diminished roster, they could play nearly 25-30 minutes together tonight. If Doncic is out again tonight, leaning towards Maxi Kleber may be the way to go because Kleber seems to be used just slightly more than Powell. Regardless, both are great value options for cash and tournaments and have ceilings well above 10x value.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, vs DEN ($10,500)

As always, center is absolutely loaded tonight and picking just one is going to be difficult. To be clear, there's at least seven or eight center that should be in for huge games tonight- KAT just seems too cheap for his potential upside. At $1,000+ cheaper that Jokic and Embiid, KAT has just about the same ceiling (if not higher) than both players and should have lower ownership in tournaments. Taking a little bit of a narrative route, there is no doubt that KAT and Jokic will be battling this entire game- I wouldn't be shocked if both players ended the game with very close FanDuel points.
