FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/6/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Six games tonight with an early Warriors-Clippers game at 2:30PM. It's important to note the lack of options at small forward, and the problem is whether to go big with LeBron James or Giannis Antetokounmpo. Even Jimmy Butler is enticing, but both Butler and James have the better matchups on paper. Antetokounmpo will be going against the Wizards, who are on the second night of a back-to-back, but also rank fairly well against opposing small forwards.

The center position is also fairly top heavy today, so if you want to go with DeMarcus Cousins, which is always a good choice, then do it. But if not, the Pistons look like they should rebound after a tough loss, but I would suggest staying away from Andre Drummond and rolling with Karl Anthony-Towns after a massive Friday night statline. Towns tends to produce in bunches and he's been slumping before tonight, so do not be surprised if he responds with another huge game. Of course Drummond and the Pistons can bounce back, but they have a track record of tossing up consecutive duds and I am not going to take my chances, especially when they are on the second night of a back-to-back.

Below you will find our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/6/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too.

FanDuel DFS Guards

De'Aaron Fox - PG, vs DEN ($4,800)

De'Aaron Fox could not have started his return any better than he did against the Hornets. He soared above his scoring averages and played close to a season high 32 minutes. The Nuggets are coming off a Friday night victory and Fox is a quick guard that likes to run the floor. He shooting might not be as good as you hope, but he is going to be giving the Denver backcourt trouble all night. The Nuggets already struggle with opposing guards and Fox has a certain athleticism that give him an ever-increasing ceiling.

Also Consider:  Aaron Brooks - PG, at PHI ($6,100)

Kyle Korver - SG, at ORL ($3,600)

One of my favorite stats this season has easily been the points per touch stat, which Korver currently dominates. If you have been watching Korver play, this makes complete sense. The ball is in and out of his hands quickly and most of the time he is getting his shots off. The best part of when he is hitting is that his price is so low it that it is nearly impossible for him to underperform. The Magic have been struggling and if Korver plays, chances are the Cavaliers secondary players are going to do most of the heavy lifting.

Also Consider: Jrue Holiday - SG, at MIN ($7,000)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Trevor Ariza - SF, at DET ($5,500)

Trevor Ariza's last game was extremely disappointing to say the least. Playing the Warriors is always a confusing situation for fantasy because you never really know what is going to happen. Ariza added to the woes by only hitting one of his eight shots, so he will absolutely looking to rebound against the Pistons. The Pistons got trampled by the 76ers last night and do not be surprised if tonight's outcome is any different. I said it before and I'll say it again. The Pistons are notorious for having games like these and they do not rebound well. Not only will the Rockets want to wash away the Warriors loss with a win, but Ariza has an easy matchup and the Pistons rank 26th against opposing small forwards.

Also Consider:  Andre Iguodala - SF, at LAC ($4,300)

Zach Randolph - PF, vs DEN ($5,500)

Zach Randolph is pure production and the Nuggets struggle to rebound against solid rebounders. Randolph is constantly attacking the glass and it can throw certain teams off. The Nuggets play a face paced style of basketball and the Kings can either match their speed or throw curveball with Randolph. They will give Randolph a chance, so when he is hitting, he will continue to get minutes and slow things down for both things. Make sure to check the news around your lineup before each game in case a veteran like Randolph is a late scratch.

Also Consider: Aaron Gordon - PF, vs. CLE ($7,900)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Robin Lopez - C, at IND ($4,800)

Robin Lopez deserves to be on a better team where he can contribute more than just being a veteran, but that's beside the point. Against the Pacers he will be going up against an inexperienced frontcourt, and chancces are Myles Turner will not be wasted on Lopez. Lopez has skill and the ability to score, but the Pacers will not put their best defender on him to keep him from beating them, opening the door for Lopez to have himself a nice game. With both teams consisting of young shooters, Lopez has an upside in rebounds.

Also Consider: DeAndre Jordan - C, vs. GSW ($7,900)
