FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/8/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

By Chensiyuan (Own work) [CC BY-SA 4.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Corey Johnson highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 12/8/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

After a crazy Friday night slate, tonight features eight games with a good amount of value and high-end plays... and probably some more craziness. Due to the size of the slate, ownership should remain fairly spread out other than with a few value players. Regardless, there's plenty of ways to attacks tonights slate!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/8/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @cjohnson707 on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kent Bazemore- SG, vs DEN ($5,900)

No secrets here, Bazemore was excellent last game with the absence of the injured Taurean Prince and should continue his productive ways as Prince remains out. Bazemore should continue to see nearly 35 minutes on the Hawks offense that has averaged the most offensive possessions per game this season- a recipe for fantasy points. Bazemore is an excellent tournament option and can be used in cash just based off of his locked-in big minutes and play-making abilities.

De'Aaron Fox - PG, at IND ($7,800)

Fox has been playing excellent of late and there's a good chance that he goes overlooked tonight. Most roster constructions tonight are going to be stars and scrubs so putting an upper mid-range guy like Fox in your lineup could help gain some leverage. Fox has 65 FanDuel point upside but does come with some risk with a floor of only about 15 points. Regardless, the 222 implied game total indicates that points should be scored and Fox should see his fair share of opportunities. Fox is a solid tournament option but can be left off of cash teams.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

LeBron James - SF, at MEM ($11,100)

LeBron is by far the most expensive forward on tonights slate and there's a good chance that you'll need him to push your lineup into the cash. We all know LeBron is good at basketball but his last two games have shown that his steep FanDuel price shouldn't stop us from playing him. LeBron should see nearly 35 minutes tonight and comes with a near 70 point upside. For tonight, LeBron is a must in cash games and is an excellent option for tournaments.

Otto Porter- SF, at CLE ($7,400)

If John Wall remains out tonight, Otto Porter should be in for another productive night due to his usage increase. Porter has been seeing big minutes and quite a big increase in productivity over the past three games and as long as Wall is out, there's no reason to believe that it can't continue. Porter isn't a player that will singlehandedly bring your lineup to the top of leaderboards but his reasonably high floor locks in nearly 30 points, with 45 point upside. Porter is an option in cash and tournaments.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Tristan Thompson - C, vs WAS ($8,100)

Thompson was terrible last night and will likely be overlooked tonight because of that. Other than last night, Thompson has been excellent recently and tonight's matchup against the Wizards is an excellent chance for him to continue his production. Thompson continues to be at the top of the league for offensive rebounding and can fill nearly all sections of the stat sheet. Thompson is an excellent multi-entry tournament option as he will have extremely low ownership and is nearly a double-double lock. Thompson can be played in cash games if needed but there are a few safer options at the top for center (Jokic).
