FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/21/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Justin Bales highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 12/21/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

After a small two game Thursday slate, we're back to a large 10 game Friday slate. There are a plethora of options, but there are also plenty of question marks. Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, Serge Ibaka, and others are all questionable, so keep an eye on injury news heading into lock.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/21/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @BalesSJustin on Twitter if you have questions.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kyrie Irving - PG, vs MIL ($9,400)

Irving has been playing at an extremely high level recently, averaging 29.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 3.0 steals in 33.1 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has scored 45+ fantasy points in each of those games, including a 61 fantasy point performance against the Phoenix Suns. Milwaukee has performed well against the point guard this season, but Irving has been playing well enough to be considered in all leagues.

Jrue Holiday - SG, at LAL ($9,400)

While Holiday isn't my favorite option on the slate, it's impossible to avoid him at this point. The New Orleans Pelicans could be without Nikola Mirotic (doubtful), Anthony Davis (questionable), and Julius Randle (questionable) leaving the entire offense to Holiday. In that case, Holiday would see his usage rating skyrocket, and he gets an elite matchup against a fast paced Los Angeles Lakers team. Holiday would make an elite play if two of the three players listed above are out.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Darius Miller - SF, at LAL ($3,900)

Miller saw 37 minutes in the Pelicans last game because of all of their injuries. As mentioned above, Mirotic is likely to be out, while Davis and Randle are questionable. If they're out, Miller will be locked into big minutes once again, and he scored 26.4 fantasy points in his last game. He gets a plus matchup against the Lakers, and this is the fast paced type of game that Miller should be able to take advantage of. He will lose most of his value if the players listed above are active tonight, though.

Larry Nance Jr. - PF, at TOR ($7,300)

Nance has caught fire recently, scoring 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five games. Nance comes with quiet triple double potential, and he can contribute in each of the five categories. The matchup against the Toronto Raptors is less than ideal, but Nance should receive 30+ minutes tonight. He's a high upside option, who has proven to be consistent with Tristan Thompson injured.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Robert Williams - C, vs MIL ($4,600)

Williams is an extremely risky option, but there aren't many players around his price tag that come with the same upside. In his last game, he scored eight points with eight rebounds, one assist, five blocks, and one steal (36.1 fantasy points) in 24 minutes. He should see decent minutes with Al Horford and Aron Baynes out due to injury, although Marcus Morris returning makes him a bit riskier of a play. Still, Williams is cheap enough that his score could potentially be dropped and it wouldn't destroy your lineup.
