FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/20/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Welcome to NBA Friday night. We have ten games on the board tonight, but a ton of different options to pay up for. There is value to pay down for, but we have to get it perfect in tournaments. With Pascal Siakam out, we'll dive into the very interesting Raptors situation tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/20/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Give me a follow on Twitter @DFSVarney and say hello. Good luck RotoBallers, let's dive right in!

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kyle Lowry - PG, TOR vs. WAS ($8,300)

Can I just write up all the Raptors here? Realistically, you’re playing with fire if you don’t have four Raptors in your FD lineup. Kyle Lowry is going to take a bunch more shots with Pascal Siakam out and he’s locked into 40+ fantasy points. Lowry will see his usage % go up to at least 30% and Norman Powell and Marc Gasol are also out. In this match-up, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kyle Lowry finish with 60 fantasy points. Don’t mess around and fade the Raptors tonight.

D'Angelo Russell - SG, GS vs. NO ($8,400)

At shooting guard, I’m a big fan of D’Angelo Russell against the New Orleans Pelicans. They play at a top-5 pace in the NBA and Russell thrives in the open floor. Russell is going to shoot the ball 20 times here and he’s been over 30 minutes consistently of late. His price is still affordable on FanDuel and I’m expecting Russell to get over 50 fantasy points here. He won’t be heavily owned either, likely coming in around 15%.

Consider - Chris Paul, Terence Davis, Kendrick Nunn, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Brandon Ingram - SF, NO @ GS ($8,700)

There is a ton of value at forward, so paying up for Brandon Ingram is well worth it. He’s under $9k on FanDuel and I like Ingram to get around 50 fantasy points here. The Warriors don't have anyone to cover Ingram and you can expect 32-35 minutes and 15+ shots. With so much attention on the Raptors, I expect Ingram to go overlooked and come in around 10-15% owned. Ingram is my favorite forward on the slate and I'll make sure to be over the field.

Serge Ibaka - PF, TOR vs. WAS ($7,400)

You can play Serge Ibaka, Chris Boucher, RHJ, and OG Anunoby at forward. All four are elite plays, but Ibaka seems like the safest with both Siakam and Gasol out. He's now the best big man they have and he can play 35 minutes a game for short stretches. Expect 35+ fantasy points out of Ibaka and I think that's pretty safe. Anunoby would be my second favorite as he can put up FP's in bunches and is too cheap. The Wizards play at one of the fastest paces in basketball and I wouldn't be surprised if five different Raptors hit value.

Consider - Raptors, Jaylen Brown, Bam Adebayo, Davis Bertans

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic - C, DEN vs. MIN ($9,500)

Jokic has been a lot better recently and may just be a case of him getting back into shape and getting his shot back. He's been over 40 fantasy points in six straight games now and gets a great match-up with the Timberwolves. Whether Towns plays or not, they struggle against big men and the offense is still solely based around Jokic. His price is getting back up there, but is not quite there. He's my favorite point per dollar C on the board with plenty of value elsewhere.
