FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/12/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

We had a pretty busy Wednesday night so it makes sense things tone down Thursday. Just looking over every game has me excited for some of the potential match ups. These intros really mess me up because I want to just start listing players but the writer side of me needs to keep the content organized. While I am going to save the specifics for the blurbs, the Spurs point guards already have my attention as cheap yet stable options against the Cavaliers, who just let up 55 points to James Harden last night.

On the reverse end, the Spurs rank second to last against opposing small forwards so make sure to check Kevin Porter Jr. availability before gametime. His price might be rising, but $4,000 is nothing compared to a 20-25 point game. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter with any questions.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/12/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Patrick Mills - PG, SA vs. CLE ($4,200)

I have to write Patrick Mills so the system picks it up, but Patty Mills has been doing his normal thing off the bench, if anything he has been surging lately. The Cavaliers are struggling to produce outside of Collin Sexton and defensively, they are rightfully at the bottom of the league in multiple categories, most notably 28th against opposing point guards. This game should open the door for Lonnie Walker, but for the sake of exposure I really didn't want to put his name is big, bold letters.

Gary Harris - SG, DEN vs. POR ($4,500)

There are not many solid options at shooting guard so the cheaper guys stole my attention. C.J. McCollum is the best option here based on statistics, but there is also some variance when playing in Denver. This pick carries some risk in case Gary Harris ends up exerting all his energy on the defensive side, so while you should be careful, I am confident he can build off the first contest between these teams. He scored eight points on eleven shots so I am expecting him to improve on that drastically.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Luke Kennard - SF, DET vs. DAL ($5,300)

Shooters have been scoring against Dallas and this game already seems like it be played at the pace of someone like Luke Kennard. He's cooled off since his early-Novermber blaze, but in every Mavericks game I've seen, there has been no shortage of shots going around. The three's will be flying and playing in Detroit only increases his upside. Andre Drummond will dominate this game, but any resistance helps Kennard's upside.

Juan Hernangomez  - SF, DEN vs. POR ($3,500)

In case Paul Millsap misses this game, you have to go with the basement level-priced option. Since the Nuggets would be playing Portland, a team that likes to dabble in the occasional inter-team three-point contest, this would be perfect for Jaun Hernangomez to not only see action, but produce at a high rate. It's a shot in the dark that is banking on Millsap missing time, but hey, let me dream.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, PHI @ BOS ($10,000)

Not sure if you should take this pick as advice or an omen. Of all the centers tonight, Andre Drummond is clearly the one that is going for 20-20. It's almost guaranteed, but here's where the problem lies. This is a revenge game for Al Horford which means he will be at his most Horford-y, basically making the game easier for the superstars and force-feeding them easy stats.

With that, Embiid should put up 30-12-6, with a bunch of easy blocks set up by Horford, but he won't. He'll miss all but three shots, score 13 points with six boards and three assists, posting a very Horford-like line while the vengeance-bringer returns to Boston with a monstrous 30-point triple-double.
