FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/25/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Austyn Varney highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/25/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Welcome to NBA Saturday night. We have 4 games on the board tonight with a ton of different options to pay up for. We're looking at Anthony Davis being questionable and a ton of other injuries to pay attention to. There is value to pay down for, but we have to get it perfect in tournaments if we want to take down some serious cash.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/25/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Give me a follow on Twitter @DFSVarney and say hello. Good luck RotoBallers, let's dive right in!

FanDuel DFS Guards

Ben Simmons - PG, PHI vs. LAL ($9,700)

With only four games on tonight's slate, we don't have all that many options at each position. There are five or six point guards worth considering, and it'll likely lead to Ben Simmons getting overlooked here. With Joel Embiid still out, Simmons is going to need to step up if they want a chance at beating LeBron and the Lakers. Simmons has been locked into huge minutes of late, and 37 seems to be a safe projection. Simmons and LeBron will likely match-up for a lot of this game and I wouldn't be surprised if both had huge games. Simmons is still under $10k on FanDuel and a great option in all formats. I'd bet his ownership is sub-25% across the board.

Dennis Schroder - SG, OKC @ MIN ($6,200)

Schroder has been on fire of late and he has his role paved out in this offense. Chris Paul doesn't seem to get up for a lot of these games and the Thunder are fine with Schroder running point for 20+ minutes. The Minnesota Timberwolves play fast and rank 25th against the shooting guard position. Schroder has yet to see his price jump on FanDuel and this very well may be the last time we get him under $6.5k. Expect Schroder to play another 32-35 minutes tonight and for him to drop around 35 fantasy points. You have to love the value at one of the weaker positions.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

LeBron James - SF, LAL @ PHI ($10,900)

LeBron James is going to go into Philly and I fully expect him to have a big game here. LeBron has seemed to coast over the last few games and this match-up is a good one for him to get up for. With Joel Embiid out, this is going to be a great game and I love stacking it. I know that these are two good defenses, but the offenses are rather concentrated and we know where to expect the production. James is coming off a triple-double and I wouldn't be shocked to see a repeat. It'll be Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris to cover LeBron, and neither has a chance of slowing him down. It all comes down to how badly LeBron wants to put up stats and I think this is a great match-up for him.

Jarrett Allen - PF, BKN @ DET ($6,200)

Jarrett Allen had his worst game in quite some time against the Lakers last time out, and he was extremely heavily owned. I'm hoping that draws a lot of ownership away from the big man as I expect him to be right back over 30 fantasy points tonight. The Pistons are weak on the interior and Andre Drummond will likely be out once again. Allen doesn't have anyone to take his minutes away as his size will be necessary against the Pistons. Allen is affordable on FanDuel and I'm a big fan in all formats.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Dwight Howard - C, LAL @ PHI ($5,800)

Anthony Davis and JaVale McGee are both questionable for this game and I suspect at least one of them will be out. Dwight Howard is throwing it back to 2010 and has looked great this season. He's heavily involved offensively and has been his old defensive-self that won two DPOY earlier in his career. He's averaging over a fantasy point per minute and has been unleashed lately for 25+ minutes regularly. Howard is still under $6k on FanDuel and he's going to match-up well with a 76ers team that's missing Joel Embiid. Howard is your safest bet at C and you can deploy him in both cash games and tournaments.
