FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/24/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Jake Finnen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/24/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a fairly interesting slate this Thursday. With the first game starting at 8PM, we have more than enough time to perfect our lineups. Even with only four games, there is upside everywhere. Anthony Davis is sidelined, so expect Jrue Holiday and Julius Randle to step up once again, with Jahlil Okafor offering up some ideal value for a big. Bradley Beal is going to have to deal with the Warriors defense moreorless by himself, but I do like Tomas Satoransky's position here. His price isn't terribly high, but it does leave him a chance to easily exceed his projected score. On the other hand, nearly every Warrior has upside, but that's become a given at this point. If I had to choose a Warrior to roster, I wouldn't think twice about snagging Kevin Durant. With a price right at $9K, I don't think you can find a better option for the price.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/24/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Dennis Schroder - PG/SG, OKC vs NOP (FD - $4,800)

Dennis Schroder has been doing a significantly less amount of facilitating lately, so unless something changes in the Thunder offense, he will be in more of a shooter's role moving forward. He filled in perfectly for Russell Westbrook, but the dynamic of this teams runs through the superstars and bleed's production to the other options and role players. Schroder is part of that group that seriously benefits off of solid play from Paul George, specifically cause it spaced out the defense, giving Schroder more than enough freedom to isolate his defender get off shots anywhere on the court. His price is well below that of a normal starter, so while he should be good for another 20-point game, expect his assists to take a pretty serious hike against the Davis-less Pelicans.

Brandon Ingram - SG/SF, LAL vs MIN (FD - $6,200)

This pick specifically has a ton of potential to be the perfect mid-tier anchor for your lineup. The Timberwolves defense is already nothing to be scared of and seeing how involved Brandon Ingram has been in the Laker offense, the upside is real and it's there. He has played a massive amount of minutes over the past four games and heads have started turning in favor of Ingram. His playmaking is his only real strong suit, but this is where the lack of defense on the Minnesota end comes to play. While Ingram should have the widest variety of stats tonight, I expect him to be the leading scorer and lead the game in assists.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jeff Green - SF, WAS vs GSW (FD - $4,300)

I don't think this will be a Jeff Green-game, but I do have confidence in Green being able to play up to the competition. The Warriors should win this game handily, but that won't mean the Wizards are going to completely flounder. Bradley Beal, Otto Porter, and Thomas Bryant should all be solid plays, but as a value play that will have minimal ownership, I'm keeping an eye on Jeff Green to be an unsuspecting secondary scorer tonight.

Dario Saric - PF, MIN @ LAL (FD - $4,000)

If we are being completely honest, I am not a fan of Dario Saric. I don't like the way he plays and most importantly, I don't think it takes much skill to play they way he does. That being said, there are teams that struggle to deal with players like Saric. He is able to use his body to get rebounds, but he is entirely reliant on his teammates creating offense for him. The Lakers frontcourt isn't exactly a fearsome group, so while Tyson Chandler and JaVale McGee will totally cap Saric's upside, I see him lining up more against Ivica Zubac and smaller forwards. Luckily, Saric has been filling the stat sheet regardless of minutes, so expect him to hit is value plus some tonight. He won't be overly consistent moving forward, but I think tonight he is a more than capable play.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Draymond Green - PF/C, GS @ WAS (FD - $6,000)

With Draymond Green's price so low, pairing him up with Kevin Durant has an unreal amount of upside. The Wizards don't have a strong frontcourt on either side of the ball, so while Thomas Bryant might double-double with ease, Draymond Green is going to have the entire court at his disposal. Bryant won't be able to keep up, and if they go smaller, Green will simply go to his more talented teammates. I don't think this game is going to start and end with Green, but I do expect Durant, Klay Thompson, and Steph Curry to offer enough spacing to help Green hit his projected. His usage has dipped recently, but if he can get double-digit assists, I can confidently assume the points will be there as well.
