FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/2/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/2/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a nine-game slate tonight, with fantastic options at each position, so you will be looking to jam some of these studs in your lineups. If you are rolling out multiple lineups tonight, you should be very excited with how many options there are, so look to diversify your player pool.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/2/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Give me a follow on Twitter @DFS_Tom and let me know how I did. Good luck!

FanDuel DFS Guards

Spencer Dinwiddie – PG, BKN vs NO (FD - $6,800)

Dinwiddie has posted 25 or more FanDuel points in eight of his last 10 games and in a spot to continue that production tonight versus the Pelicans, who are giving up 50 FanDuel points per game to point guards, which is third worst in the league. This game comes in with an over-under sitting at 230 points, so we are expecting plenty of scoring and thus, a great fantasy environment. He has a 28.6% usage rate, along with producing 1.12 fantasy points per minute this season, which should have him firmly involved in this game.

Bradley Beal – SG, WAS vs ATL (FD - $9,800)

Beal comes in with a 33% usage rate right now, which is 4.5% higher than his usual rate, due to John Wall being out for the rest of the season. Beal is going to be popular going forward since he is ultimately the best players on the Wizards, so be ready for some heavier ownership here. He is facing off against the Hawks tonight, who are giving up 44 FanDuel points per game to shooting guards this season, which is second worst in the league. Beal has faced the Hawks two times so far this season, posting an average of 32 real points per game, while playing 41 minutes per game.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Paul George – SF, OKC @ LAL (FD - $10,000)

George is a player you should be looking to spend up on tonight due to his consistency and potential ceiling of points. George has posted 40 or more FanDuel points in 14 straight games, along with having six of those games over 50 FanDuel points. He is getting it done in all areas of the game right now and will be up against the Lakers in a game where the over-under is set at 229 points. We are looking at a classic late night Western Conference game which will be super high scoring, meaning you want plenty of exposure to this game and George is great to do so.

Lauri Markkanen – PF, CHI vs ORL (FD - $7,400)

Markkanen is looking good after coming back from his injury and is playing 32 minutes or more in five of his last six games. We all know that minutes equals money in NBA DFS, so look to have some Markkanen tonight, who is fairly priced against the Magic, who are giving up 44 FanDuel points per game to power forwards this season. More of a cash game play tonight due to the overall lower scoring nature of this game, which can limit his upside in GPPs.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Thomas Bryant – C, WAS vs ATL (FD - $6,600)

Bryant has played over 30 minutes in back to back games and has posted over one fantasy point per minute in each of those matchups. Tonight, he will be up against the Hawks who are giving up 60 FanDuel points per game to centers this season, which is third worst in the entire league. We have a super high over-under here set at 229 points, so plenty of scoring to go around and help Bryant reach value.
