FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/15/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Austyn Varney highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/15/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Welcome to NBA Wednesday night. We have ten games on the board tonight with a ton of different options to pay up for. We're looking at Anthony Davis being questionable and a ton of other injuries to pay attention to. There is value to pay down for, but we have to get it perfect in tournaments if we wan to take down some serious cash.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/15/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Give me a follow on Twitter @DFSVarney and say hello. Good luck RotoBallers, let's dive right in!

FanDuel DFS Guards

Russell Westbrook - PG, HOU vs. POR ($9,200)

Russell Westbrook took last night’s game off in preparation for this one. He’ll be ready to go his full 33-36 minutes and the match-up with Portland is a great one. Damian Lillard is not a good defender and Westbrook has had plenty of big games against the Blazers in the past. The price on Westbrook is down, and deservedly so. He’s had more sub-50 fantasy point performances than ever before this season. I don’t suspect that will be an issue tonight, as Westbrook will be chomping at the bit after sitting last night and Harden will be willing to let Westbrook get it going.

Buddy Hield - SG, SAC vs. DAL ($5,800)

Buddy Hield is just far too cheap on FanDuel. He hasn’t even been bad, posting 30+ FanDuel points in all but two of his last nine games. The inexplicable price drop to $5,800 makes Buddy Hield an amazing value in all formats. The Dallas Mavericks play at a fast pace and I suspect Hield will be overlooked while Doncic and co. focus on De’Aaron Fox. Hield can put up 45 fantasy points in any given match-up and with so many options at SG, we may actually get him under 40% owned. The value is just undeniable.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Tobias Harris - SF, PHI vs. BKN ($6,600)

I have a feeling that the industry is going to overlook Tobias Harris tonight. He is one of the safest options on the board with Joel Embiid out and the match-up with Brooklyn is an elite one. Harris has upped his rebounding to 10 and 11 in the last two games and is a hot shooting night away from 40+ fantasy points. His price is down under $7k on FanDuel and I’m a big fan in all formats. This entire starting lineup will draw ownership and Harris is my favorite of the bunch tonight.

Lauri Markkanen - PF, CHI vs. WAS ($5,100)

Lauri Markkanen is another piece to take advantage of on the Chicago Bulls. I didn’t mention Zach LaVine or Kris Dunn, but both are elite plays at guard. Markkanen is just $5,100 in what is the best match-up in basketball for big men. His minutes have been a bit uncertain of late, but he’s healthy now and should be over 30 with Carter Jr. out of the lineup. Markkanen is going to be at or above a fantasy point per minute in this game and is my favorite point-per-dollar PF on the slate.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Myles Turner - C, IND @ MIN ($6,300)

Myles Turner always seems to go on a few of these tears a year. Maybe one day he’ll sustain the production, but we don’t care much in the DFS world. Turner is on fire right now and he’s been over 33 minutes in three of four games. The Timberwolves struggle against bigs whether KAT is in or not and Turner has seen a 31% usage over the last two games. He’s rebounding more than he typically does and the injury to Sabonis has opened up some more playing time. Turner is the safest bet at a C position with a lot of options.
