FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/12/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Tonight features a solid six game slate that has numerous value plays which should allow for multiple studs to be rostered. Although this slate is not huge, it gives off the vibe that scoring and cash-lines will be quite high; up-to-date injury reports and projected minutes will be essential.

In this DFS article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/12/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early in the day, and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the Hoops Chat Room or @cjohnson707 on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kemba Walker - PG, at SAC ($8,500)

Due to Kemba's recent fantasy production, this may be a tough sell- but here we go. Kemba has been having a terrible January so far and frankly, it can't last for much longer. He is an elite talent that is playing well below his averages right now- he is due for some positive regression. Tonight's matchup against the Kings offers the perfect chance for a "2019 breakout game" for Kemba. Kemba has a near 70 FanDuel point ceiling against the King's who allow nearly the most fantasy points to opposing guards in the league. Reserve Kemba for tournaments and avoid in cash games.

Jaylen Brown- SG, at ORL ($4,400)

Brown is the perfect example of a high-risk tournament play nearly every time he is on the slate; tonight is no different. At $4,400 and a ceiling of nearly 50 FanDuel points, Brown can help take down some big GPPs on any given night. However, Brown does come with a lot of risk- nearly 50% of games he greatly under performs and there is really no explanation as to why. Regardless, he should see at least 25 minutes tonight in a reasonable matchup against the Magic and if he finds his shot early in the game 30+ minutes is not out of the question. Brown should only be used as a multi-entry tournament type play.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Royce O'Neale - SF, vs CHI ($3,500)

At this point (Saturday morning), O'Neale looks like a lock in all formats for tonight. The Jazz have numerous injuries and O'Neal, at minimum price, looks to be in for another night with huge minutes. Last night, he played 39 minutes and was able to get over 8.5x value. Although 39 minutes again tonight doesn't seem all that likely, 33-35 minutes does seem reasonable and if he becomes just slightly more productive, 10x value (35+ FanDuel points) is quite possible. O'Neal can be the starting point of any tournament or cash game lineup build.

Anthony Davis - PF, at MIN ($12,800)

Of all the studs on the slate tonight, AD certainly has the highest ceiling and biggest potential of breaking the slate- meaning it would be nearly impossible to cash without him. AD has the ability to go off for 100 FanDuel points on any given night and has proven to be matchup proof. He'll likely see Karl-Anthony Towns for the majority of the night but AD's nearly unfair abilities shouldn't be hindered. Of course, his price tag his huge but paired with O'Neal the average remaining salary for your roster is still $6,700. AD is an excellent option in tournaments and should be a lock in nearly all cash formats.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Willie Cauley-Stein - C, vs CHA ($7,600)

As always, Center offers numerous high-end options for tonight but rostering AD will make it difficult (but not impossible) to get to them. Due to that, WCS at $7,600 looks to be an excellent mid-tier option. The Kings have proven that they can score the ball and a big 234.5 implied game total for tonight indicates that many believe the scoring will continue. In just 25 minutes a couple of nights ago against the Pistons (Andre Drummond defense), WSC totaled over 40 FanDuel points. There is a good chance that tonight he will see 30+ minutes against the Hornets (Bismack Biyombo/ Willy Hernangomez defense)- clearly, a much more favorable matchup.
