FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/11/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

There were only four games last night, opening the slate up for nine games tonight. We have a plethora of great opens, ranging from expensive plays to bargain plays. There are a few games that look outstanding to attack tonight, as well, and there are multiple ways to construct lineups on this larger slate.

In this DFS article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/11/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early in the day, and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the Hoops Chat Room or @BalesSJustin on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Jeremy Lin - PG, at PHI ($5,100)

Lin has taken on a larger role for the Atlanta Hawks recently, playing 28 and 34 minutes in his last two games. He's also averaging 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.5 steals (32.9 fantasy points) in those games. Lin has played limited minutes for the majority of the season, but he is averaging 1.06 fantasy points per minute through 37 games. Lin is a bit too expensive to trust in cash games at this point, but he makes a great tournament option in a fast paced matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Donovan Mitchell - SG, vs LAL ($8,100)

Mitchell was forced to play more point guard in his last game, scoring 33 points with four rebounds, seven assists, one steal (49.3 fantasy points) in 37 minutes. He'll be locked into major point guard minutes again tonight with Ricky Rubio, Dante Exum, and Raul Neto all ruled out, as well. He gets an elite matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, as they love pushing the pace, and play into the style of Mitchell. He can safely be considered in all leagues on this slate.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Harrison Barnes - SF, at MIN ($5,700)

Barnes is simply too cheap. He has performed well recently, averaging 16.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 steals in 31.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has been a consistent option for the majority of the season, and he gets an elite matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have featured one of the worst defenses in the NBA against small forwards. Barnes makes a great cash game option, and he can also be considered in tournaments.

Derrick Favors - PF, vs LAL ($6,000)

Favors surprisingly only saw 21 minutes in his last game, but he's still averaging 12.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 2.0 blocks in 25.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has scored 28+ fantasy points in five of his last six games, but his price tag has not adjusted to his recent production. He gets a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, who have been pushing the pace this season. Favors could see a few extra opportunities for peripheral stats, and he's a great tournament option tonight.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, vs ATL ($11,100)

Embiid will see an uptick in pace against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. They have struggled against centers this season, and Embiid is averaging 30.0 points, 14.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.2 steals in 32.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Embiid struggled a bit in somewhat of limited minutes against Atlanta earlier this season, but he makes an elite option against a weak defense tonight.
