FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/28/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

We have a splits slate of games where the early slate starts at 2 pm, but the majority of them are on the 7 PM main slate. There are some fantastic pitching options on the slate, so you will need to find some value plays out there to fit these aces in your lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/28/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Lance McCullers Jr. - P, HOU vs OAK (FD - $8,800)

McCullers comes in with a 32% strikeout rate vs left-handed hitters this season, along with  30% strikeout rate vs right-handed hitters. Tonight he is up against the Athletics, who have a 22% strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers. He makes a good cash game option on this slate and comes in as a -200 favorite. He has six or more strikeouts in four of his five starts this season and has only allowed two earned runs in his last two starts.

David Price - P, BOS vs TAM (FD - $8,000)

Price is up against the Rays, who are one of the weaker teams in the league, so a nice spot to attack them. He has a 23% strikeout rate this season, while the Rays have a 25% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers. The price seems right on him today and comes in with five or more strikeouts in four of his five starts this season. We saw him priced up a bit higher earlier in the year, so he makes a good point per dollar play.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Joey Votto - 1B, CIN @ MIN (FD - $4,200)

Votto has a home run in four straight games, and when a player like this is so, it's truly hard to fade them. He has turned around his slow start to this season and now has nine RBIs in his last six games. Love him in all formats today since he will have the platoon advantage against a right-handed pitcher.

Matt Carpenter - 2B, STL @ PIT (FD - $3,300)

Carpenter is simply too cheap for the level of player he truly is, and taking advantage of that, can be wise due to the circumstances. He only has one hit in his last four games and is really showing the signs of having a bad start to the season.  I will buy low on him while I can and bet on his talent upside.

Nolan Arenado - 3B, COL @ MIA (FD - $4,300)

You are getting Arenado at a bit of a discount since he isn't at Coors Field, but still has great numbers to back up the salary. He has a .558 wOBA and a .345 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, which are simply just video game esque numbers. Only one hit in his last three games, but has a very favorable matchup.

Manny Machado - SS, BAL vs DET (FD - $4,600)

Machado has a .511 wOBA and a .478 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, and with numbers like that, you want him in all of your lineups. He is one of the bright stars on a bad Orioles team and is truly their best player. He has two multi-hit games in a row, and in a good spot to continue that trend.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Josh Reddick - OF, HOU vs OAK (FD - $3,600)

Reddick is another player who is simply too cheap for the production he is capable of, just now showing it all right now. He comes in with a .411 wOBA and a .255 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. He will have the platoon advantage against Mengden tonight, and he gets you some exposure to the Astros offense which is never a bad thing.

Gregory Polanco - OF, PIT vs STL (FD - $3,700)

Polanco has hits in five of his last six games and has three extra-base hits in that span. He is up against Jack Flaherty, who is giving up a 36% hard contact rate, which plays right into the hand of Polanco, as he has a .278 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. Really like this spot for him, and with him going yard last night, hopefully we see a new trend from him in the works.
