FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (3/21/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We have a 12-game slate tonight with a few lopsided favorites, along with some games with over-under set at six or higher. There should be plenty of scoring to go around tonight and plenty of options for both cash games or GPPs.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/21/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

David Pastrnak - W, BOS @ NJ (FD - $7,600, DK - $7,400)

Pasta is back for the Bruins and was only able to record three shots on goal against the Islanders Tuesday night, but he should be finding his way back to the point score sheet tonight against the Devils. The Bruins are -270 road favorites, which should tell you enough about how lopsided this matchup is. The Devils are the 12th worst in the league over the past month when it comes Corsi Against, along with allowing three or more goals in five of their last six games. Load up the Bruins top line stack tonight and watch the fantasy points pile up.

Vincent Trocheck - C, FLA vs ARI (FD - $5,400, DK - $4,800)

Big fan of the Panther tonight and love that Trocheck and the second forward line are so affordable, which makes stacking them in GPPs super easy. They are going up against the Coyotes, who come in with 63 Corsi Against over the past month, which is the second worst in the league. That means they are giving up a ton of shot attempts every game, which presents plenty of opportunities for the Panthers to score points. He has two points and seven shots in his last four games, which is some strong consistency for a player who is under $5K on DraftKings.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Nate Schmidt - D, VGK vs WPG (FD - $4,700, DK - $5,300)

The Vegas Golden Knights are en Fuego right now and you should be wanting to get plenty of exposure to them tonight since they are up against the Jets, who are on the second night of a back to back and should have their backup goalie in net. The Jets have the ninth worst Corsi Against over the past month, meaning they are allowing far too many shot attempts per game to the opposing team. This puts Schmidt, who is on the second power-play in a spot to continue his strong trend of three points and nine shots over his last five games.

Oscar Klefbom - D, EDM vs CLS (FD - $4,600, DK - $5,000)

Klefbom has a great price across the industry tonight and despite the fact, the Oilers aren't a good team, they are playing halfway decent right now and putting up some solid fantasy points. Klefbom is on the first power-play unit with McDavid and Draisaitl, so that gives you some great upside at a lower price point. That is shown by the fact he has four assists in his last five games, along with 10 shots. Klefbom truly doesn't have to do a whole lot since he is on the ice with McDavid and just rack up the points.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Jordan Binnington - G, STL vs DET (FD - $8,500, DK - $7,900)

Binnington and the Jets come in as massive -330 home favorites since they are up against the Red Wings, who are producing just 1.49 goals per 60 in the last month, which is the lowest in the league. You are truly paying up for the win here and not much more, he has over 30 saves only one time in his last six games, so the upside is somewhat limited for him and won't be racking up a ton of points. Go for the safe in your cash games, since the win is a near lock here.
