FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (3/12/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We have a 10-game

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/12/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Ryan Johansen - C, NSH @ ANH (FD - $5,600, DK - $5,200)

Johansen has been a bit inconsistent as of late with only two points in his last 10 games, but he is up against the Ducks who are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. The Ducks come in third worst in the league when it comes to Corsi Against and giving up the third most high-danger scoring chances per 60. This should put the Predators in a good spot for both cash games and GPPs tonight. Johansen is on the first forward line and the second power-play unit, so plenty of ice time for him to rack up fantasy points.

Danton Heinen - W, BOS @ CLS (FD - $4,300, DK - $5,200)

Heinen is still on the first forward line for the Bruins and comes in with nine points in his last 10 games, amazing production for a player at his price point. Tonight, they are up against the Blue Jackets who are on the second night of a back to back, which has the Bruins coming in at only +100 on the road. We are in for a very close game but could be higher scoring as the over-under is set at six. Love the price on him considering the recent production, so look to use him in a GPP stack.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Alex Pietrangelo - D, STL vs ARI (FD - $6,200, DK - $5,800)

Pietrangelo is looking great recently and producing fantasy points seemingly every single night and should be a solid option for cash games tonight. He is averaging over two shots per game and nearly two blocked shots per game, which is where his safe floor of points comes from. He is up on the first power-play unit and has six points in his last seven games, which is where his ceiling for GPPs comes from. The Blues are -190 home favorites tonight and up against the Coyotes who are on the second night of a back to back.

Esa Lindell - D, DAL @ BUF (FD - $4,100, DK - $4,700)

Lindell is very affordable on both sites tonight and with the Stars actually coming in as -135 road favorites against the Sabres, since they will be without Jack Eichel tonight. Lindell has no points in his last five games, but comes in with six shots and 10 blocked shots, putting him as a low-end cash game play tonight. Lindell is also on the second power-play unit, which is very cheap to stack, but should be used in GPPs only tonight.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Carey Price - G, MON vs DET (FD - $8,700, DK - $8,00)

Price is at home and comes in as a massive -200 favorite since he is up against the Red Wings, which should put him in consideration for cash games tonight. He is certainly on the expensive end of options, but you are paying up for the relative safety of the win, which he should be able to pick up tonight and help get back on track after losing two of his last three starts. Price can also be used in a goalie plus skater stack tonight, which is always a nice option for tournaments.
