FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/7/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We have a MASSIVE 14-game slate tonight, which is the most we've seen this side of the All-Star break, so there are plenty of options to pick from. If you are playing multiple lineups tonight, you will have a great time matching line stacks since we are in for plenty of offense.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/7/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Mathew Barzal - C, NYI @ NJD (FD - $6,400, DK - $6,00)

Barzal and the Islanders are up against the Devils tonight and come in as -130 road favorites in a game where the over-under is set at 5.5. He comes in with just six points and 16 shots in his last 10 games, which is a bit lower than we would like to see for a player on the second forward line and the first power-play. With that said, he is in a good spot to get things going in the right direction tonight since the Devils are sixth worst in the league with a 58.97 Corsi Against. This means they are giving up way too many shots each game, which presents plenty of fantasy points for Barzal and the Islanders.

Brock Boeser - W, VAN @ CHI (FD - $6,500, DK - $6,700)

Boeser comes in with five points in his last five games along with 10 shots in that span, which should make him viable in all formats tonight. The consistency with the shots is great to see, especially with this matchup versus the Blackhawks who have a 58.55 Corsi Against this season and are dead last in the league for the number of high-danger scoring chances allowed per 60. He is on the top forward line and top power-play which is very reasonably priced tonight.

Nathan MacKinnon - C, COL @ WAS (FD - $8,000, DK - $7,500)

MacKinnon and the Av's top line was broken up to jumpstart their offense, but they were reunited the other night versus the Blue Jackets, which is where we want to see them. This top line with Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog bring multi-point upside ever night and should be able to put that on full display tonight versus a struggling Capitals team who are third worst in the league with 12.81 high-danger scoring chances allowed per 60. This is a very expensive stack and makes a fantastic GPP option on tonight's massive slate.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Rasmus Dahlin - D, BUF vs CAR (FD - $4,400, DK - $4,900)

Dahlin and the Sabres are at home up against the Hurricanes in what should be a faster-paced game with an over-under set at 6.0. He is up on the first power-play unit with Jack Eichel and Jeff Skinner, which gives you access to a higher ceiling of points. Dahlin has only three points in his last five games, but what he lacks in pure scoring, he makes up for his 10 shots and six blocked shots in that same five-game span.

Shea Theodore - D, VGK @ DET (FD - $4,500, DK - $4,700)

Theodore is reasonably priced across the industry tonight and should be viable in all formats since he is up against a very weak Red Wings team who are due for a loss after a surprising three-game win streak. The Golden Knights are clearly the better team here and that should shine through on the power-plays since the Red Wings are taking nearly three penalties a game. Theodore is on the second power-play which makes a great GPP stack tonight and is very affordable, allowing you to spend up elsewhere on this massive slate.

Juuso Riikola - D, PIT @ FLA (FD - $3,500, DK - $2,700)

Riikola is a deep tournament play tonight if you are rolling out multiple lineups, but he brings a ton of salary relief tonight. The Penguins got shutout in their most recent game, so we should expect their offense to bounce back tonight against the Panthers who are the 10th worst in the league in the number of high-danger scoring chances allowed per game. We have an over-under set at 6.5, which is high, so we should be expecting some scoring here.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Joonas Korpisalo - G, CLS @ ARI (FD - $7,600, DK - $7,700)

Korpisalo should be getting the start tonight versus the Coyotes which has them coming in as -130 road favorites. He is on the cheaper end of options tonight which will allow you to load up on skaters tonight since there are so many offensive options to choose from. He has won three of his last five starts but has allowed three or more goals in three of those same five starts. The upside comes from the fact he has racked up 29 saves or more in three of his last five starts, which provides plenty of points, something you should be shooting for in tournaments.

Devan Dubnyk - G, MIN vs EDM (FD - $8,500, DK - $8,100)

Dubnyk and the Wild come in as very healthy -200 home favorites versus the Oilers which puts him firmly in play for cash games tonight. He has won three out of his last five starts and has posted 29 saves or more in three of those fives games. Coming away with the win is what you want for cash games, go with the safety, and that is what you will find here tonight.
