FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/26/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 2/26/19. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have a massive 11-game slate tonight where there are many teams in action who made moves at the trade deadline yesterday. There could be some line shifts going on, but with so many games set to be high scoring, the offense should come from everywhere.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/26/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Alex Ovechkin - W, WAS vs OTT (FD - $8,800, DK - $8,200)

You should certainly be looking to get some exposure to Ovi tonight if you are rolling out one lineup, or 100 lineups since the matchup is that good. He is up against the Senators, who are dead last in the league when it comes to Corsi Against, meaning they are giving up the most shot attempts per game. This provides a super safe floor of points to go after and with Ovi averaging over four shots per game, he will have plenty of chances to score. The Senators are also giving up the sixth most high-danger scoring chances per game, so we are talking about multi-point upside here.

Max Domi - C, MON @ DET (FD - $5,700, DK - $6,000)

Domi is on the second forward line and the first power-play unit for the Canadiens who are up against the Red Wings, which gives them an expected Corsi For set at 48.8, which is second highest on the slate. He comes in with five points in his last five games and three or more shots in four of those five games. A super solid matchup for them tonight against the Red Wings who are allowing 3.3 goals per game over the past month. For his price, certainly in the cash game pool.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Justin Schultz - D, PIT @ CLS (FD - $4,500, DK - $3,900)

Schultz should be on the first power-play unit for the Penguins tonight with Kris Letang dealing with an injury. Schultz is cheap across the industry and if you are looking for a GPP option tonight, the Penguins first power-play just got a whole lot cheaper tonight and with an over-under set at 6.5 tonight, we should see plenty of scoring here. Probably not a cash game option, but with his price so cheap, he has plenty of viable in GPPs.

Rasmus Ristolainen - D, BUF @ PHI (FD - $4,800, DK - $5,200)

Risto and the Sabres are on the second night of a back to back, but in a good spot to rack up some solid fantasy points. He is on the first power-play unit and is very affordable tonight, which gets you some exposure to Eichel and Skinner. The Flyers come in giving up 14% more shot attempts per game over the past month, which is the worst differential of any team on the slate. Sneaky GPP spot tonight on a massive slate.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Connor Hellebuyk - G, WPG vs MIN (FD - $8,100, DK - $8,200)

Hellebuyk and the Jets made a number of trades yesterday at the deadline and find themselves at home and -155 favorites against the Wild. The Wild come in scoring only 2.38 goals per game over the past month, which is a 15% decrease compared to the month prior, which is the worst differential of any team on the slate. He has allowed three or more goals in four of his last five games, but this is a spot for him to get back on track versus a struggling offensive team.
