FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/2/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 2/2/19. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have an 11-game slate tonight, which is the most we've seen this side of the All-Star break, so there are plenty of options to pick from. If you are playing multiple lineups tonight, you will have a great time matching line stacks since we are in for plenty of offense.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/2/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Steven Stamkos - C, TB vs NYR (FD - $8.700, DK - $7,400)

Stamkos is one of the most expensive skaters on the skate but it's for good reason, so you should be looking to have plenty of exposure to him tonight. He is up against the Rangers who come in with a 59 Corsi Against, which is the fifth worst league, which means they give up a ton of shots each and every game. The Rangers are also giving up 11.53 high-danger scoring chances per game, which should put the Lightning in a great spot to rack up the goals tonight.

Kyle Connor - W, WPG vs ANH (FD - $6,300, DK - $6,000)

Connor has three goals in his first two games since the All-Star break and is looking solid for cash games tonight. He is playing up on the first forward line and the first power-play unit for the Jets who come in as massive -220 home favorites. They are up against the Ducks who are one of the worst teams in the league and come in the second worst in Corsi Against and the number of high-danger scoring chances allowed per game.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Dennis Cholowski - D, DET @ OTT (FD - $3,700, DK - $3,300)

Cholowski offers a ton of salary relief tonight which should be massive on this massive slate where we want to load up on forward line stacks. He is playing the second power-play unit for the Red Wings, who aren't the greatest team in the league, but they are now up against the Senators, who are dead last in the league in Corsi against. They give up far too many shots every game, so we like to stack against them when possible.

Brent Burns - D, SJ vs ARI (FD - $7,500, DK - $6,800)

If you can afford to pay up for defenders tonight, you should be looking to have Burns on your roster. He comes in averaging over three shots per game, along with over one blocked shot per game and on the first power-play unit. Absolute DFS monster in terms of his floor of points and the potential ceiling he brings, which should be in full effect tonight versus the Coyotes, who have a 48 Corsi Against over the past month.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Robin Lehner - G, NYI vs LA (FD - $8,600, DK - $8,200)

Lehner and the Islanders are on the second night of a back to back and he will be in net tonight since he didn't start yesterday. He is one of the more expensive goalies on the slate, but he comes in as a -170 home favorite, along with this game having an over-under sitting at 5.5, which is actually low in today's NHL. Great for cash games since the Kings are one of the weakest teams in the league and fine for GPPs if you can afford him.
