FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/14/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 2/14/19. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have a MASSIVE 9-game slate tonight, which is one of the most we've seen this side of the All-Star break, so there are plenty of options to pick from. If you are playing multiple lineups tonight, you will have a great time matching line stacks since we are in for plenty of offense.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/14/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Kyle Connor - W, WPG vs OTT (FD - $5,400, DK - $5,900)

Connor and the Jets are at home and come in as a massive -255 home favorites tonight due to the fact they are up against the Senators, who are the worst team in the league. This means we should be leaning on the Jets for cash games tonight since the Senators who come in dead last in the league when it comes to Corsi Against. This means they are giving up way too many shot attempts per game, which provides a solid floor of points to build on. Connor is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit for the Jets which should provide him with enough opportunity to reach value tonight.

Pierre-Luc Dubois - C, CLS @ CHI (FD - $5,800, DK - $5,900)

Dubois is very moderately priced across the industry tonight and is facing off against the Blackhawks, who are surging but still come allowing 13.85 high-danger scoring chances per 60, which is dead last in the league. Chicago is also the fifth worst in the league when it comes to Corsi Against, which means we are dealing we are dealing with a super deadly combination of a team not only giving up a ton of shots, but those are super valuable for the opposing offense. This should put Dubois, who is on the top forward line and the first power-play unit in a great spot for either format, so you should look to pair him with Cam Atkinson and Artemi Panarin.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Morgan Rielly - D, TOR @ ARI (FD - $6,300, DK - $6,200)

Rielly and the Maple Leafs are on the road in Arizona, but still, come in as a massive -175 favorites in a game where the over-under is set at six. We should see plenty of offense in this game, but it will likely come from the Toronto side of things. Rielly is on the first power-play unit with Auston Matthews and John Tavares, so if you are unable to pay up for a full stack, Rielly offers a cheaper way to get exposure to that unit. He comes in averaging nearly three shots per game, along with blocking over one shot per game, which puts him into the cash game consideration.

Jeff Petry - D, MON @ TB (FD - $4,300, DK - $5,000)

Petry is a bit cheaper on FanDuel tonight and even though he isn't the flashiest player in the league but offers a ton in term of a point per dollar value. The Canadiens are on the road but come in with a 48.4 expected Corsi For, which is the sixth highest on the slate. Shots are great, but goals are great too which isn't something we generally see from Petry, so this is a floor player who comes in averaging two shots per game and over one blocked shot per game.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Martin Jones - G, SJ vs VAN (FD - $8,500, DK - $8,300)

Jones and the Sharks are at home and up against the Canucks, which has him coming in as a -245 favorite. We should be looking towards Jones for cash games tonight since the win here looks like a strong probability since he is the second largest favorite on the slate. He has faced the Canucks one time this season where he was able to come away with the win, only allowing two goals in the process. The two goals per game is a trend we've seen from him recently, allowing just two goals in four of his last five games, along with coming away with the win in each of those games.
