FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (12/7/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

Saturday features a nine-game evening slate with a spotlight on games like San Jose and Tampa Bay, Colorado and Boston, plus even New Jersey and Nashville.

Remember, when looking around for plays, an over/under of 6 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5 or sometimes 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. There are several games at 6.5, as that has become the new norm in hockey now.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/7/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @ChrisWasselDFS. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Nathan MacKinnon - C, COL vs BOS (FD - $9,100, DK - $7,900)

MacKinnon had an off game against Montreal where he had just two shots and two blocked shots. The day off probably was for the best. Boston typically allows the least amount of points per game to centers and any forward. However, this is MacKinnon and his points per game are too high to completely pass on him on Saturday night. With Colorado mostly healthy on the offensive side of things, expect a few surprises on Saturday night.

Andrei Svechnikov - W, CAR vs MIN (FD - $6,400, DK - $5,800)

The winger finally has gotten things going all season long. He has ten points in his last ten games and 31 points in 29 games on the season. Svechnikov averages just about three shots per game and 2.5 scoring chances per contest. Minnesota ranks in the bottom third when it comes to allowing points against wingers. Carolina has struggled for the most of late but this may be just what the doctor ordered on Saturday night.

Also, Consider:

  • Aleksander Barkov, Evgeni Malkin, and even Mathew Barzal are excellent plays on Saturday night.
  • David Pastrnak and Tyler Johnson are solid options on Saturday from the wing position.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Kris Letang - D, PIT vs DET (FD - $6,600, DK - $6,700)

We are picking on the Detroit Red Wings because they are among the five easiest teams to face from a DFS perspective. That means a good deal of points typically. Letang has just six points in his last nine games. Either way, the points will come from somewhere and Letang with the Pittsburgh Power Play remains stout enough to hold off Detroit in all phases. The defenseman averages 3.0 shots per game and remains a threat to see angry amounts in the part at 4:25 am

Dougie Hamilton - D, CAR vs MIN (FD - $7,100, DK - $7,300)

Hamilton's floor is around six shots and blocked shots a game combined which helps as far as the value from peripherals, etc. The Carolina defenseman again should be one of the top DFS NHL producers of the night. Minnesota allows the second-most points to defensemen in the entire NHL.

Also, Consider:

  • Cale Makar still benefits on FanDuel due to a lower price. Also, do not forget to look at Ryan Graves for value from Colorado as well.
  • Torey Krug against Colorado is a good option to consider on Saturday night.

DFS Goalie to Consider

Sergei Bobrovsky - G, FLA vs CLB  (FD - $7,400, DK - $8,100)

The idea was to take a shot with a goalie who is slightly lower-priced. Bobrovsky has been on a nice roll of late while facing more than 33 shots per 60 in the process. The fact that he faces a few more shots and goes up against a Columbus team that fires more shots on the road is helpful. Always watch for confirmations but in this case, Bobrovsky was already planned to start here. So, take a look at this especially on a FanDuel slant.

Also, Consider:

  • The other good GPP choices on Saturday night include whoever starts for Boston plus maybe whoever starts for New Jersey on Saturday for the shot count. Pittsburgh is in the game ban similarly to The Wilfighters.
