FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (10/30/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

The Wednesday slate doesn't have the greatest offensive potential, with only one game currently coming in at a total of 6.5. We will attempt to find some value on this slate outside of the Florida and Colorado game. I will most likely look to stack from this matchup and piece together some value plays to complete my lineup.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 10/30/19. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @Roto_Nate.

DFS Forwards to Consider

Nazem Kadri - C, COL vs FLA (FD - $5,200, DK - $4,900)

Kadri has been heating up as of late, scoring three goals over his last four games, and will see a boost to his fantasy value due to moving up the Avalanche lineup. With injuries to Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog, Kadri will slot into the wing alongside Nathan Mackinnon to start this game, and I like any players' chances who will get regular minutes alongside Mackinnon. It doesn't hurt that Kadri will cost you a minimal salary playing on the first line in a game with the highest expected total.

Jonathan Huberdeau - W, FLA vs COL  (FD - $7,200, DK - $6,700)

The Panthers should be ready for this game, coming off an embarrassing 7-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night. Huberdeau has been a vital cog for the Panthers good start to the season, tallying points in nine of his last 11 games. The line of Huberdeau, Aleksander Barkov, and Evgenii Dadonov will be a solid stack in tonight's game, and the elevated salaries could be counteracted by running it back with a cheap Kadri if you expect this game to be a track meet.

Also, Consider:

  • Joel Armia has goals in three straight games and will give you some salary relief when trying to fit Avalanche and Panthers players into your lineup. My only concern is that the Coyotes have proven to be stingy defensively, but could be vulnerable in their first game back home after a long road trip.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Alexander Edler - D, VAN vs LA (FD - $5,600, DK - $6,700)

Edler went through a tough four-game pointless streak but bounced back in his last game with three assists. He faces a struggling team in the Kings tonight who is one of the worst in the league on the penalty kill with a 73.8% succession rate. The Canucks offense has been firing on all cylinders tonight, and I've got to believe they will have plenty of opportunities to keep the trend going tonight. I would be nervous about rostering him on DraftKings, as the price seems to be a little too high on this slate.

Mikhail Sergachev  - D, PIT vs DAL (FD - $4,500, DK - $4,000)

Sergachev has had a slow start to the season, only managing seven assists and zero goals in ten games. However, it is worth monitoring the injury situation of Victor Hedman, who left the game last night against the New York Rangers. If Hedman is ruled out, Sergachev's role will increase, and he will be a huge value play. Kevin Shattenkirk could also be a solid value play if he is the defenseman chosen to take Hedman's spot on PP1.

DFS Goalie to Consider

Jordan Binnington - G, STL vs MIN (FD - $8,100, DK - $8,200)

As of now, the St.Louis and Minnesota game is the only matchup on the slate with a total of 5.5. This is due largely in part to the subpar Wild offense so far this season. Binnington has allowed two or fewer goals in three of his last four starts and should be in line for another victory in tonight's game.
