Back to the normal flow of things for the NHL and have a 9-game slate tonight, which should provide enough options for both cash games and GPPS.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/19/19. DFS Forwards to Consider
David Pastrnak - W, BOS vs NYR (FD - $8,100, - DK - $7,500)
Pasta and the Bruins should be a very popular team tonight since they come in as -240 home favorites against the Rangers, who are one of the weakest teams in the league. The Rangers come in second worst in the league in Corsi Against, meaning they are giving up an insane amount of shots every game. This provides the Bruins with a fantastic floor of points, especially Pastrnak who is averaging 3.7 shots per game. He is up on the top forward line and the top power-play unit, which should make him a priority to spend on tonight.
Brayden Schenn - C, STL vs OTT (FD - $5,200, - DK - $4,800)
Schenn is on the top forward line for the Blues along with the second power-play unit, which makes him a great option tonight since they are facing off against the Senators who are dead last in the league when it comes to Corsi Against and the fifth worst in the league in number of high danger scoring chances allowed per 60. This sets ups the Blues to be fantastic in all formats since they are going to be able to push their offense all night.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Mark Giordano - D, CGY @ EDM (FD - $6,600, - DK - $6,400)
Giordano is a point machine this season and he is up on the first power-play unit for the red hot Flames, who are one of the best teams in the league. He is expensive for a defender but he gets you exposure to Monahan and Gaudreau if you can't spend all the way up for their price tag. This game against the Oilers has an over-under set at 6.5 goals, so we are looking at a game with plenty of offense and you will certainly want some players in this game.
Mikhail Sergachev - D, TB vs SJ (FD - $4,100, - DK - $4,400)
Sergachev has six points, 17 shots and eight blocked shots in his last 10 games, which is truly impressive production from a player at his price range. He is on the third defensive pairing for the Lightning, which isn't great, but he is on the second power-play unit, which makes a nice GPP stack tonight. They are facing off against the Sharks in a game where the over-under is set at 6.5 goals, so yet another spot where we want to be looking for some offensive upside.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Pekka Rinne - G, NSH vs FLA (FD - $8,100, - DK - $8,300)
Rinne is always one of the most expensive goalies on the slate and tonight is no different, but you are paying up for the win. He comes in as a -230 home favorite tonight versus the Panthers, which should make him a near lock for the win. He has lost three straight starts while allowing four goals or more in each game, but this is a good chance for him to bounceback at home against a weaker Panthers team.
