FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (1/15/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Back to the normal flow of things for the NHL and have a 10-game slate tonight, which should provide enough options for both cash games and GPPS.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/15/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Ryan Johansen - C, NSH vs WAS (FD - $6,100, DK - $5,000)

Johansen is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit for the Predators who come in as -160 home favorites versus the Capitals who are on the second night of back to back. Johansen seems a bit too cheap considering his role on the team, combined with the fact he has four points in his last three games, along with nine shots. The Capitals are giving up 12.78 High Danger Scoring chances per game, which is third worst in the league, so a nice bit of upside here.

Gustav Nyquist - W, DET vs ANH (FD - $6,200, DK - $5,100)

Love the price on Nyquist over on DraftKings tonight which should make him sort of a core building block for your cash games tonight. He is up against the Ducks who are third worst in the league when it comes to Corsi Against at 60, meaning they give up an insane amount of shots. This shot opportunity presents the Red Wings with a chance to have a nice floor of points and his reasonable price on DK should make him a viable stacking option tonight.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Kris Letang - D, PIT @ SJ (FD - $6,900, DK - $6,800)

Letang is one of the most consistent options when it comes NHL DFS and you should be looking to have him in any of your lineups you can afford him. He has 11 points in his 10 games, along with averaging three shots per game and nearly two blocked shots per game. He is up on the first power-play unit for the Penguins, which has massive upside, especially in a game where the over-under is set at 6.5 goals.

Justin Faulk - D, CAR @ NYR (FD - $4,500, DK - $4,700)

Faulk and the Hurricanes are in a great spot to score some goals tonight since they are up against the Rangers, who are second worst in the league in Corsi Against. Faulk is very reasonably priced across the industry and up on the first power-play for the Canes. Love the stacking potential and with his reasonable price and a great matchup, he could also be used in cash games.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Carey Price - G, MON vs FLA (FD - $8,500, DK - $8,000)

Price and the Canadiens come in as -145 favorites at home against the Panthers, which should make him cash game viable tonight. He has won in back to back games, while only allowing two goals in that span. You could comfortably go to him in GPPs as well, since he is seeing about 25+ shots per game in his recent stretch of starts.
