FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (1/10/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 1/10/19. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

Back to the normal flow of things for the NHL and have a 12-game slate tonight, which should provide enough options for both cash games and GPPS.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/10/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Alex Galchenyuk - C, ARI @ VAN (FD - $5,500, DK - $5,500)

Galchenyuk and the Coyotes aren't the most exciting team in the league, but they are up against the Canucks tonight and come in as very slight +105 road dogs. We should be in for a bit of a close game here, but still with some good upside for the Yotes. The Canucks are giving up 11.44 High Danger Scoring Chances per 60 minutes this season which is 11th worst in the league, giving them nice value from a point per dollar standpoint.

Jake DeBrusk - W, BOS vs WAS (FD - $5,300, DK - $4,500)

DeBrusk is on the second forward line but up on the top power-play unit with the best skaters for the Bruins, which offers a nice bit of exposure to a higher ceiling at a discounted price. He has three goals in his last three games, with eight shots in that span, which is surprisingly strong for a player at his price point. He is up against the Capitals tonight who are taking 3.5 penalties per game over the past month.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Devon Toews - D, NYI @ NYR (FD - $3,500, DK - $3,000)

Toews is minimum salary on both sites tonight and is seeing some time on the second power-play unit for the Islanders, who should be very popular tonight. They will be popular for the fact they are up against the Rangers, who are second worst in the league when it comes to Corsi Against, meaning they are giving up an excessive amount of shots, leading to plenty of upside for the opposing team.

John Klingberg - D, DAL @ PHI (FD - $6,100, DK - $5,800)

The Stars are on the road but come in as -120 favorites, since they are up against the simply terrible Flyers tonight. This game has an over-under set at six, which should provide a solid fantasy environment, considering Klingberg is on the first power-play unit. He has two or more shots in six straight games, along with six points in that span, making him viable in all formats tonight.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Jonathan Quick - G, LA vs OTT (FD - $8,500, DK - $7,800)

Quick has been priced up a bit on FanDuel tonight but still comes in below $8K on DraftKings, which is where you should be looking to roster him tonight. He is up against the Senators, who are on the second night of a back to back, which has the Kings coming in as -210 home favorites. Quick has three wins in his last five starts, with two or fewer goals allowed in those wins.
