FanDuel, DraftKings MNF DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy Football for Week 7

Gage Bridgford highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for Monday Night Football for Week 7 of the 2019 season, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building MNF daily fantasy rosters.

Monday Night Football is here, and the New England Patriots (6-0) are heading to the Meadowlands to take on the New York Jets (1-4) who got their first win last week. Who should you be putting in your daily lineups to make yourself some money?

This is a game that could be extremely one-sided early because of the New England defense that has been playing at the top of their game this season. They've picked on lesser teams thus far, and it's unlikely that we see that change on Monday night.

Whether you're playing on FanDuel or DraftKings, the slightest lineup constructions can make all the difference. Choosing one player over another is the difference between winning a little or a lot. So, let's look at how we're going to construct our lineups.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge is back with a massive $500,000 grand prize and $1.35 million total prize pool, paying down to 800th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 10 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The 7,250 entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 10th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $500,000! Sign Up Now!

DFS Quarterbacks - Week 7 Picks

Tom Brady, New England Patriots, Fanduel $15,500/ DraftKings $17,400

If you're starting a quarterback, it's likely going to be Brady. Brady hasn't been lighting the world on fire this year, but it doesn't matter. This Jets Defense has been giving up points relatively easily. They've allowed at least 22 points in all but one game thus far. You may not want to use Brady as your Captain or MVP, depending on what site you're using, because of how high his cost is compared to the production he's given thus far, but he's your best quarterback option.

Sam Darnold, New York Jets, Fanduel $14,500/ DraftKings $13,500

If you want to pay down at quarterback, Darnold is your option this week especially on DK where he's $2,900 cheaper. You'll have to worry about turnovers, which could come in bunches against a Patriots Defense that leads the NFL with 14 interceptions through six weeks. In 15 career games, Darnold has thrown 16 interceptions. If you're playing a quarterback, you're likely going with Brady unless you're on a budget.

DFS Running Backs - Week 7 Picks

Le'Veon Bell, NYJ, - FD $13,000/ DK $13,800

Few running backs have had the workload that Le'Veon Bell of the New York Jets has had thus far. He's had at least 14 carries in each game, and, outside of last week, he had come down with at least four receptions in each week. Bell has a brutal matchup this week against this Patriots front, but the Jets are going to feature him often to keep the ball out of Brady's hands. Seeing Bell go over 25 touches would not be a surprise at all.

Sony Michel, NE, - FD $13,500/ DK $11,700

Patriots running back Sony Michel has underwhelmed compared to how he finished last year in the playoffs. He's also not in an amazing spot on Monday night. The Jets are only allowing 3.5 yards per carry, and they've mostly been taken advantage of through the air. Michel is always a threat down in the red zone, but with the stable of running backs the Patriots have, it's nearly impossible to predict who will be getting the touchdown when they get there.

James White, NE, - FD $10,000/ DK $11, 100

Of the running backs in the Monday night slate, White is the one that we can feel the most confident about, and he's the cheapest option which makes it easier to fit him into lineups. The majority of his value comes from his pass-catching, as he has 31 receptions compared to just 16 carries on the season. Jets linebacker C.J. Mosely is questionable heading into the game which would further elevate White as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.

DFS Wide Receivers - Week 7 Picks

Julian Edelman, NE - FD $14,000/ DK $16,800

Patriots wideout Julian Edelman is in a great spot this week in terms of his matchup. The Jets are allowing 262.5 yards per game through the air. He's also going to be without fellow wide receiver Josh Gordon (knee), and Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) is questionable. Edelman (chest) has been dealing with an injury of his own that could slow him down throughout the game. If it doesn't, then he'll provide a great amount of production all night.

Robby Anderson, NYJ - FD $11,500/ DK $10,200

Anderson played well last week with the return of Darnold. However, this week's matchup is more difficult. Cornerback Stephon Gilmore has been one of the best in the NFL this year, and he'll be shadowing Anderson all game. If Anderson can get one deep ball for a touchdown, that will give him a great night, but he shouldn't be relied on for that to happen.

Jamison Crowder, NYJ - FD $11,000/ DK $10,500

Crowder saw his stock shoot back up last week when Darnold returned, but that will take a hit on Monday night. Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones has been among the best slot corners in the NFL this season. Crowder relies on volume to get his scoring done, so, if Darnold force-feeds him the ball all night, he can have a solid night. However, if Darnold only gets him a handful of targets, he's not going to do much for you.

DFS Tight Ends - Week 7 Picks

Benjamin Watson, NE - DK $6,600 and Ryan Griffin, NYJ - FD $5,000/ DK $2,100

I'm just going to lump these two together. Don't play either one of these guys. Tight end Benjamin Watson isn't even in the FanDuel rosterable players. Ryan Griffin of the Jets is just a fill-in player. If you have no money left, then you can put him in and hope for a touchdown, but just avoid the tight ends.

DFS Defenses - Week 7 Picks

Patriots Defense - DK $10,800

The Patriots defense has been ELITE this season. They've allowed just one offensive touchdown through six games. If you put them at each fantasy position, they would be seventh among quarterbacks, fifth among running backs, third at wide receiver and first among tight ends. They even have more points than Brady does. Find a way to get this defense into your lineups simply because they are making plays and scoring a lot every single week.
