FanDuel, DraftKings CFB DFS Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football Advice for 10/4/19

Week 5 college football DFS lineups, sleepers and value picks for the early slate on FanDuel and DraftKings on October 4th. Target these NCAA players in CFB daily fantasy tournaments and cash games.

We're working with another two-game slate here, but these games both have over/unders exceeding 60. UCF and Cincinnati will square off in what will be one of the more exciting games of the weekend. New Mexico and San Jose State should be exciting as well, with two offenses that can score the ball.

Let's dive in and find a couple of top plays at each position!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the early slate of games on FanDuel and DraftKings on 10/4/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

It's an extremely fun slate ahead of us, with more than enough offense to go around. I'll be breaking down the later slate in a different article, so make sure to keep an eye out for that as well. Let's dive into some of the top plays at each position. You can follow me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. I will be around all day to answer questions.

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks

Dillon Gabriel - UCF - FD $10,000 DK $7,500

Opposed to last night, we’re working with some offenses that can score the football tonight. We only have two games once again, but they’re at least fun ones. Both totals are over 60 and the games are expected to be within 10 points. Cincinnati has been a good defense this year, but they haven’t been tested much through the air. Gabriel and UCF have a relentless passing attack and I expect him to get near 300 yards without an issue. UCF has shown an unwillingness to get away from the pass and this Cincy defense isn’t as stout at the Pitt one they faced two weeks ago.

Desmond Ridder - CIN - FD $9,400 DK $7,000

If I’m going to pivot to a different QB, it’s Desmond Ridder in this same game. He’s been up and down this season, but has looked more like himself over the past two weeks. He has dual-threat upside, though you’re counting on him getting the better end of the UCF defense through the air. It’s certainly possible, as we’ve seen two QB’s throw for 300 yards against the Knight. Ridder is a bit cheaper and a great play in all formats.

Also Consider - Tevaka Salanoa-Tuioti, Josh Love

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Running Backs

Adrian Killins Jr. - UCF - FD $9,000 DK $6,300

If we’re expecting UCF to hold a slight lead throughout, these running backs are going to get plenty of volume. Adrian Killins has been the better back recently and he’s the more involved one through the air. With this being a close game, we don’t have to worry about these guys sitting all game. Expect 10+ touches from Killins and for him to pay off his salary if he can score.

Ahmari Davis - UNM - FD $8,600 DK $5,400

Ahmari Davis was shut down by Liberty, but so was this entire offense. He’s carried the ball 46 times over the last two games, so it’s obvious that he’s being relied upon to carry the load for this offense. San Jose State has been dissected on the ground, allowing close to five YPC. New Mexico has three or four backs that get action, but Davis is the workhorse and could easily score twice tonight. Running back is weak and Davis has the floor and ceiling.

Also Consider - Dejon Packer, Greg McRae

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers

Gabriel Davis - UCF - FD $9,900 DK $7,700

There’s no way I’m getting away from Gabriel Davis on this slate. He’s been one of the best wide receivers in the nation thus far, ranking eighth in yards with 499 and first I touchdowns with eight. That’s almost two touchdowns per game, on average. Gabriel Targets him like crazy in the red zone and there’s no way this touch Cincy pass D doesn’t make him lean on Gabriel even further.

Marcus Williams - UNM - FD $6,600 DK $5,000

There is no clear number one receiver on this New Mexico roster, but Marcus Williams is as much WR1 as anyone. He returned just two weeks ago from injury, but has been a favorite since returning with five catches and 150 yards in two games. His price is down on both sites, as he’s priced more like the third or fourth option. That’s simply not true and we’re working with a slight discount on Williams.

Josiah Deguara - CIN - FD $8,300 DK $5,600

This passing game has gone through Josiah Deguara and Alec Pierce, leaving Rashad Medaris and Thomas Geddis begins. Deguara has three touchdowns on the young season and Ridder has targeted him seven times in the red zone. It makes sense for a guy that struggles with accuracy to target the big man with a large catch radius. Pierce is a bit safer, but Deguara can catch two scores and break the slate.

Also Consider - Tre Walker, Aaron Molina, Bailey Gaither, Marlon Williams
