FanDuel DFS – MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers and Advice for 6/27/15

Below are my FanDuel lineup picks for Saturday, June 27th. My goal with these DFS picks, as always, is to try to choose players who will outperform their expectations. These players can be high-cost players, or they can be sleepers, but we are always looking for players that have a chance to return the greatest value on FanDuel. Additionally, since the weekends generally have many afternoon and night games, I’ll make an effort to distribute my picks to cover all the timeslots going forward so that if you are playing an afternoon/night only league this article will still be useful.

Daily fantasy baseball leagues (DFS) are becoming the thing to do, and here at RotoBaller we are excited to help our users build their bankrolls. I’ll be covering FanDuel lineup picks, sleepers and general advice every Saturday and Sunday. I’ll also be putting my money where my mouth is by entering my final lineup (at the bottom of the article) into one of FanDuel’s many daily fantasy contests, so that RotoBaller users can compete against me.

Editor’s Note: If you play on FanDuel, you should also check out RotoBaller’s DFS Partner DraftKings – they’re hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It’s FREE to enter and pays out $100,000 in cash prizes! Sign up Now and we’ll give you free access to RotoBaller’s Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Tools (a $29.99 value). You’ll also receive a 100% bonus on your first DraftKings deposit.

Last Saturday’s Review

We were off last weekend as I was out taking in some Cape League baseball...two words, Bobby Dalbec. Back this week feeling fresh and ready to go on a hot streak.

Entry: $0

Winnings: $0

Saturdays For the Season: +$6.68

Pick Highlights: N/A

Relationship Status: “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”

DFS Starting Pitchers To Consider for FanDuel

Clayton Kershaw (SP, LAD) - $12,300

I know what Max Scherzer is doing, but Clayton Kershaw is still the best pitcher in the game. This is a favorable matchup pitching in Miami, and while Giancarlo Stanton was hitting everything to the moon, he's out now for 4-6 weeks with a broken hand, so Kershaw doesn't even have to pitch around him. He will feast on the rest of the Marlins lineup.

Garrett Richards (SP, LAA) - $8,800

The Mariners can't hit, plain and simple. Richards has a great track record against Mariners hitters, pitching to the tune of a .231/.277/.320 triple slash line. Richards has been much better at home (2.23 ERA) than on the road (5.17) this season.

DFS Infielders To Consider for FanDuel

Ian Kinsler (2B, DET) - $3,400

Kinsler hammers opposing pitcher John Danks to the tune of a .341/.370/.705 triple slash in 44 career AB's.

Nick Hundley (C, COL) - $3,000

Generally speaking, I try to avoid the Rockies on the road, but Hundley has two career homers and an OPS over 1.000 against opposing pitcher Tim Lincecum.

Jose Abreu (1B, CWS) - $3,500

Jose Abreu punishes left handed pitching with a 1.005 OPS in his career. Today he faces lefty Kyle Ryan who currently sports a 4.56 ERA, doesn't have strike-out stuff, and has given up four homers in 23.2 innings. Abreu will go deep.

DFS Outfielders To Consider for FanDuel

Carlos Gonzalez (OF, COL) - $3,500

I'm still not normally a fan of using the Rockies on the road, but CarGo has a strong history against Tim Lincecum, and Lincy has been terrible as of late with a 7.00 ERA and six homers allowed in his past six starts.

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $4,900

Anytime Trout is under the 5k mark I have a tough time not using him.

Alex Guerrero (OF, LAD) - $2,200

He's the cheapest player on the board today. As long as he is in the Dodgers lineup, I think you have to use him for the value alone.

FanDuel Sleeper Value of the Day

J.J. Hardy (SS, BAL) - $2,300

Hardy has been coming around lately hitting .342 in his past 9 games. The power hasn't come back yet since returning from injury, but this is a guy that averages 20+ HR per 162 games at the shortstop position. It's a reasonable price for big upside at a non-premium hitting position.

My DFS Lineup on FanDuel

Today I’ll be playing in $7,500 MLB Bunt game today. Remember to check your lineups throughout the day. You never want to get a goose egg for a guy that didn’t play.
