FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 12/9/15

We have a really awesome slate scheduled tonight. Twenty teams are in action and only four of them are on the end of a back-to-back. Seven of the 10 games feature spreads under three points. Nine of the 10 feature spreads under six. Seven of the listed nine overs (San Antonio and Toronto is off the board as of this writing) are above 200. See what I mean? The only thing missing is a rivalry or two.

The four teams on the wrong side of a back-to-back are the Magic, the Jazz, the Grizzlies and the Rockets. The nice thing about that group is that I really wouldn't have wanted to heavily target any of those offenses anyway, outside of the Rockets. Speaking of the Rockets, if you're looking for a team to stack against, it's Houston. As for games to target with high point totals, Atlanta at Dallas (205), Orlando at Phoenix (207), Los Angeles at Minnesota (204) and Houston at Washington are all relatively attractive.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for FanDuel for 12/9/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

John Wall (vs HOU, $9,200)

Wall is playing some of his best basketball right now and with Washington's reliance on him on offense and a matchup against one of the worst team defense's in Houston, he's a very strong option tonight. Over the last 10 games, he's exceeded value in five, averaging 4.45 points over his price implied total. He is averaging over 30 minutes a game and with a usage rate top three among active point guards tonight in a game with the highest projected total (and Houston on a back-to-back, no less), I think he's the safest cash game option on this board. The high point total and the fact he could reach double digit assists also makes him fairly attractive in tournaments, though the price is a little high for me to have a lot of exposure there.

Reggie Jackson (vs MEM, $7,300)

Okay, so Reggie was abysmal his last time on the court, totaling just 3.7 FanDuel points in 27 minutes of action, but I do like him to bounce back tonight. I think the recent terrible performance and the fact they draw Memphis will keep his ownership at a favorable spot. The Pistons play better basketball at home, his price has dropped to a more desirable figure, and he has the highest usage rate among active point guards tonight. Memphis is a solid team defensively, but they are on a back-to-back and haven't been to adept at slowing down opposing backcourts, where they rank somewhere in the middle of the pack among all NBA teams. Without question, Jackson is my go-to point guard tonight in tournament formats.

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

The shooting guard and small forward spots are definitely the most brutal to select from for Wednesday night. Nothing really jumps out at me as an excellent and/or safe pick. There are some potentially great values, but a lot of volatility among the lesser priced two-guards.

Bradley Beal (vs HOU, $7,400)

Like I mentioned, there are a few intriguing shooting guards due to upside and low price, but selecting a cash game shooter tonight is much more difficult. Thanks to their high ceilings - which can mainly be accredited to high projected minutes, usage rate and Vegas line - I think the best bets on the board are guys that oppose each other tonight - Beal and James Harden. Beal has been shooting well of late, averaging over 25 points per game this month and in terms of fantasy point production, he's averaging 4.42 points higher than his price implied total in his last 10 games. Beal doesn't have quite the upside that Harden does, but I do like the fact he's $3,400 cheaper and has a similar floor and fresh legs.

Tournament Options: Eric Bledsoe (vs ORL, $8,500); OJ Mayo (vs LAC, $4,600)

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

Andrew Wiggins (vs LAL, $7,000)

For me, Wiggins is one of the few guys that could fit as a cash game or tournament option. His recent performance suggests cash could be a little risky, but I attribute some of that drop in production to a sore right knee and limited minutes. His price has dropped into a more affordable range and in the weeks before and after Thanksgiving, we witnessed a bit of a Wiggins breakout. Against an atrocious Lakers squad, I think he has both a solid floor and the upside to wreak havoc in tournaments. Of the active small forwards in play this evening, he has the second highest usage rate and he's seventh in PER.

Cash Game Options: Nicolas Batum (vs MIA, $7,500); Kawhi Leonard (at TOR, $8,800)

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

Blake Griffin (at MIL, $9,300)

Blake draws an incredibly juicy matchup in this one against a very weak defensive front court in Milwaukee. His price has come down $300 over the last 10 days into a more favorable price range, even despite the fact that he's exceeded his price implied value in five of his last 10 games. For the past month, Blake is averaging over 30 minutes a game, a usage rate above 20 while averaging at least three assists, six rebounds, and 25 points. That floor makes him a solid cash play, and Milwaukee's weak interior defense makes him an intriguing tournament option for me as well.

Tournament Options: Cody Zeller (vs MIA, $4,000); Jared Sullinger (vs CHI, $6,000)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Al Horford (at DAL, $7,000)

There are few centers that interest me tonight, but Horford is going to be the one I have most exposure to in cash games. The former Florida Gator has essentially been a model of consistency  - averaging 2.49 points over his price implied value and exceeding value 57% of the time this season - while drawing a favorable matchup against the Mavericks this evening. His price is such that I can fit a lot of other solid plays in my lineup and among active centers tonight he's fourth in PER and seventh in usage.

Also Consider: Karl-Anthony Towns (vs LAL, $6,900)

Tournament Option: Andre Drummond (vs MEM, $9,200)
