FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 12/23/15

A 13 game slate Wednesday is a real holiday treat. So many games, options and stacks to consider on this Christmas Eve Eve. Not every spread and over/under total has been released as of my writing, but a few games I'll be targeting due to high totals and and relatively low spreads are the following games: Memphis at Washington (O/U 202.5, S: 1.5), Sacramento at Indiana (O/U 213, S: 6.5), Detroit at Atlanta (O/U 203, S: 5.5), Boston at Charlotte (O/U: 202, S: 2) and Houston at Orlando (O/U 206.5, S: 1.5).

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for FanDuel for 12/23/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

Let's get to it, shall we?

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Tyreke Evans (vs POR, $7,300)

Tyreke is among a handful of guys - thanks to a combo of high floor, high ceiling and moderate price - that I think you could cement him in your cash game lineups and have a few tournament shares as well. He's had a pretty hot hand of late, exceeding value in 6 of his last 10 games, with an average of 2.9 points above his price implied value. Evans salary has dropped a bit, too, perhaps due to the return of Jrue Holiday, and he's a real bargain at this price. Portland is atrocious at defending opposing point guards, and I think Evans will have little trouble both getting to the basket and creating for his teammates.

Russell Westbrook (vs LAL, $10,400)

The possibility of a blowout and high price could keep Westbrook out of my cash lineups, but I'm certainly going to find a way to fit him into a tournament lineup or two. Call it the narrative game if you'd like, because we all know Russ loves playing in Los Angeles, but consider how poor the Lakers are at defending, and the combination of those two things and his incredible usage rate create a really high ceiling.

Also Consider: John Wall (vs MEM, $10,000) and Jrue Holiday (vs POR, $5,600)

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

Eric Gordon (vs POR, $5,000)

If you haven't noticed already, I'm a pretty big fan of the New Orleans back-court this evening.  Gordon's play can be a little inconsistent and his usage rate (17) isn't high enough for cash game considerations, but he's definitely a tournament play for me tonight. This game has a high projected total, Portland doesn't defend guards well, and Gordon can light it up from three and get hot if he's feeling it early on. He's also quite a bargain at just 5K. His price has dropped $600 over the past 10 days, despite him exceeding his price implied value in 6 of his last 10.

Victor Oladipo (vs HOU, $6,300)

I'm in love with the idea of Victor getting a crack at Houston's second unit in a fast paced game where he should have a high usage rate and the ability to slash to the basket. Oladipo has carved out a nice role coming off the bench, and while his last two performances were subpar, he holds the ability to score fantasy points without putting the ball in the basket through steals and being a pretty good rebounder. His salary has also dropped $1,100 in the past 10 days and I think the pace of this game suits him well and creates a fairly high ceiling.

Since the above two guys are GPP-type plays, I wanted to give you two cash game considerations.

Cash Game Considerations: James Harden (at ORL, $10,600) and Eric Bledsoe (vs DEN, $8,200)

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

I'm not in love with anyone at the position, so I won't be spending much here - but there are certainly a few bargains to be had.

CJ Miles (vs SAC, $4,800)

Teammate Paul George is also someone I'm considering, but due to their shaky play of late, I'd rather take my chances with Miles, who's price is about half that of George's. I think Miles' could be an incredibly low-owned sleeper and everything in my projection model points to him being able to easily exceed his price implied value tonight. His price is down $500, putting him right in the bargain range at this position, and he's got a minutes projection above 30 with a usage rate above 20. Sacramento doesn't defend the position very well and Vegas projects this game to be very high scoring.

Nicolas Batum (vs BOS, $6,900)

Coming off a mediocre game and with so many games on the slate tonight, I think Batum will be modestly owned and the matchup is a favorable one. Charlotte plays at a slow pace but I can see Boston - who run at a very fast pace - dictating the speed in this one, giving Batum plenty of opportunity to fill the stat sheet like he's capable of. My only concern would be Batum drawing Jae Crowder on defense, but considering his lower than usual price and a game that should be a tight one (2 point spread), I think he's worth the risk.

Also Consider: Andre Iguodala (vs UTA, $4,600) and Trevor Ariza (at ORL, $5,500)

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

The money I've saved at SG and SF will likely be spent at the PG position and down low with PF's, where I like quite a few studs tonight.

Thaddeus Young (vs DAL, $7,000)

While his price is up $400 over the past 10 days, I still don't think it has caught up with his production, so I'm more than fine with paying 7K this evening in a matchup I like. In the stretch that has seen his price creep up, he's still exceeded his price implied total in 5 of those 10 games - including 2 of his last 3 - with an impressive average of 4.49 points above. His matchup tonight is favorable because I not only consider him somewhat of a bargain at this price, but Dallas is soft down low and gives up a ton of points to opposing power forwards.

Derrick Favors (at GS, $7,700)

Thanks to a high projected total and Golden State's pace, I think Favors will have ample opportunities for rebounds, extra shots and a few swats. His play has been a little up and down but I'm a fan of his ceiling tonight and I think he can cruise past his implied point total of 30, especially since you can book him for 35+ minutes a night.

Also Consider: Jabari Parker (vs PHI, $4,800) and Julius Randle (vs OKC, $5,700)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Vucevic (vs HOU, $7,700)

His performance against the Knicks the other night was another reminder of just how hot Vucci Mane can get from the floor, as he poured in 40 fantasy points on 13-of-19 from the field. He's been able to exceed value in all 5 of his last contests, with an average of 5.32 points above his price implied total. Tonight, in a game against Houston - a team that runs at a fast pace but doesn't defend well - I think the Magic will be calling his number often.

Also Consider: Al Horford (vs DET, $6,600)
