FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/30/16): MLB DFS Advice

Jason Bales highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 9/30/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your FanDuel MLB DFS lineups.

The last series of the regular season is finally underway. The San Francisco Giants are one game ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals, even after that bizarre extra innings finish. The Colorado Rockies are back in Coors Field to show off their impressive upside one more time before the season ends for them. That is undoubtedly fantasy relevant.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/30/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel. Let's get this show on the road.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies, as previously mentioned, as playing in Coors Field tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers. Brent Suter will take the mound. This is basically the Brewers forfeiting any chance of keep double-digit runs off of the scoreboard. The Rockies are going to score early and often. Use them in all formats.

Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs, much like the Rockies, can be used in both 50/50 contests and tournaments tonight. It does not matter who the Cincinnati Reds, the Cubs' opponent for tonight, are throwing. It is Josh Smith, so the upside is even better, but anytime the Cubs head into Cincinnati, use them. It is easy to hit in Cincinnati, and the Cubs are the best in the league. Even if their backups are playing, start them.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Yu Darvish ($10,900)

Yu Darvish is the best pitcher on the board tonight, even with Madison Bumgarner on the mound against the Los Angeles Dodgers for the San Francisco Giants. Darvish gets a better matchup, and he has been the better pitcher as of recent. In his last start, he posted 60 fantasy points, striking out nine batters in seven scoreless innings. Use him in all formats.

Taijuan Walker ($7,500)

Taijuan Walker has huge upside for his price tag. He posted 40 fantasy points in his last start, and three games ago, he posted 72 fantasy points. There is no quit in this young Seattle Mariners' starter, even though he has struggled for a large portion of the season. He has a lot of talent and upside, especially against the less-than-impressive Oakland Athletics.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Gary Sanchez ($3,800)

Until he proves he is not the most powerful catcher in the league, everyone will have to accept that he is. Use him in tournaments tonight against the Baltimore Orioles, and for the rest of the reason.

First Base (1B) - Freddie Freeman ($4,100)

Freddie Freeman ended his 30-game hit streak and 40-plus-game on base streak last night, but he should respond with a bounce back performance tonight. He was hitting .500 in his last 10 games prior to last night, making him the hottest hitter in baseball. Use him in all formats.

Second Base (2B) - DJ LeMahieu ($3,900)

DJ LeMahieu is one of the best hitters in the league at any position in any stadium. His batting average is nearing .350 on the season, and he is hitting in Coors Field tonight. Use him in all formats, as the Rockies are liable to score double-digit runs.

Shortstop (SS) - Jhonny Peralta ($3,100)

The St. Louis Cardinals' shortstop, Jhonny Peralta, has shown impressive upside of recent. He is having a down season, but three games ago, against the Cincinnati Reds, he posted over 40 fantasy points. That is something that rarely happens at the shortstop position, let alone for $3,100. Use him in tournaments.

Third Base (3B) - Kris Bryant ($4,000)

Whether or not Kris Bryant will play will remain in question until the end of the regular season. The Cubs have nothing to prove. Two games ago, he posted over 25 fantasy points against the Pittsburgh Pirates in a pitcher-friendly stadium. Tonight, he gets a better matchup in hitter-friendly Cincinnati. If he starts, use him in all formats.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Odubel Herrera ($3,800)

Odubel Herrera gets a high-upside matchup tonight against Robert Gsellman and the New York Mets. Gsellman has been solid of recent, but he is not major league ready, honestly. Herrera, on the other hand, is. He has a .288 batting average and 15 home runs. The consistency and upside are both there.

Adam Duvall ($3,300)

Adam Duvall gets a semi-tough matchup tonight against Jason Hammel, but he is hitting in Cincinnati, and he has quite a bit of power. With 33 home runs on the season, the deep ball is not out of the question tonight. Use him in tournaments, as he has 60.3, nine, 19, and 15.7 fantasy points over his last four starts.
