EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (4/3/21) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 4/3/21. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We had another full week of UCL action and a midweek EPL game on Wednesday this week. Matchday 28 in the English Premier League kicked off Friday with a nice single-game slate, and now we have four more games Saturday. Three of those four games will be on the main slate on FanDuel, and I have another full breakdown for you all. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Saturday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts!

In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/13/21 for the slate that locks at 10:00 am ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Leeds vs Sheffield

Sheffield have lost almost any chance at avoiding relegation this season as they sit a full 14 points below Newcastle right now. Leeds (-190) have been steady in the middle of the table for the longest time now, but they don't have a ton to play for aside from pride. They should still control this match at home against a lowly Sheffield team. Sheffield are the league's worst away team as well, so be prepared for this one to get ugly. The goal total over/under is 2.5.

Leicester vs Manchester City

This is a matchup of two of the league's top teams on Saturday. Manchester City (-185) have been spectacular lately and have a large lead atop the EPL table. Leicester have remained firmly in the top four for the large part of the season as they contend for a UCL spot next season. This should be an entertaining game with chances at both ends of the pitch. The goal total over/under is 2.5.

Arsenal vs Liverpool

The final game on Saturday is a matchup of traditional Big 6 clubs who are not having very good seasons. Liverpool's lackluster EPL form has dropped them down to 7th on the table now, while Arsenal sit four points below them in 9th. Liverpool (+125) are favored slightly on the road, but they have been really poor on the road this season - especially recently.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Leeds are set up well for at least a mini stack on FanDuel. They have viable plays at all different price ranges that correlate well with each other. Patrick Bamford ($21) the Leeds attackers have one of the best matchups on the slate. They are at home facing a horrid Sheffield team who are allowing 2.0 goals per game on the road. Leeds have shown the capability to have some pretty high-scoring games, but they have struggled some recently. However, this matchup is too good to ignore for a scorer like Bamford. He has had two weeks to recover from a calf injury that was hindering him and comes into this game at -110 to score. Raphina ($19) is a great way to get a Leeds mini stack with Bamford, and he can definitely be used on his own. His floor is one of the best in the league right now with peripherals, and he has a great matchup for a high floor game here. Jack Harrison ($17) is also worth a look in a Leeds stack. There's no need to force all three of these attackers into a lineup, but some exposure is recommended against a last-place team. Tyler Roberts ($7) can fit well in a Leeds stack or be used as a stand-alone value play for some exposure.

It's hard to ignore Kevin de Bruyne ($22) on any given slate. This is not the greatest matchup for City attackers on the road against a good Leicester team, however, Manchester City has been firing on all cylinders lately and KDB is fully matchup-proof. He has as strong of a floor/ceiling combo as any player on this slate even in this matchup. I'm not going too crazy with City with a more difficult matchup, but Riyad Mahrez ($21) also sparks my interest. He is coming back to face his former club and has been in good form recently - not only from a goal upside standpoint but also with his peripherals.

Instead of targeting any Liverpool attackers on the road against an above-average Arsenal defense, I'd rather take my money and put it on someone like Alexandre Lacazette ($17) to try and catch Liverpool's defense slacking. You cannot trust Liverpool's defense to keep a clean sheet - home or away - lately even against clubs like Fulham and Brighton. Lacazette is coming into this game with three goals in his last four EPL games and is +150 to score here. If you can't get the money for Lacazette, Martin Odegaard ($14) is a more reasonably-priced way to get Arsenal exposure. His floor is strong in this game.

I am a massive Wilfred Ndidi ($13) fan on this slate. He's consistently underpriced for the stats he produces. He is averaging 22.2 fantasy points per game over his last six games, and now he has a tremendous matchup against City. He should be able to collect all types of defensive stats here which is does so well already. He's one of the best mid-tier plays on the slate if you can pair him with some attackers who have goal upside.

For value, I have some minor interest in either Oliver Norwood ($10) or John Fleck ($8). Leeds also has a horrendous defense and they allow goals, SOGs, and chances created often, so guys like Norwood or Fleck have some value with a shot at a decent floor game.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Robin Koch ($5) is far too cheap if he re-enters the starting lineup on Saturday. He has a good shot at a clean sheet facing a Sheffield team that only has six away goals in 14 games this year. He needs just a handful of defensive peripherals to hit value. He had been regularly priced in the double digits prior to his injury, so this is just a mistake from FanDuel that we should take advantage of.

On the other side of the pitch, Kean Bryan ($8) is another solid value play. Leeds allow a good amount of defensive stats of all kinds to opposing teams, and Bryan is the best dollar-for-dollar Sheffield DEF play. He has finished with double-digit fantasy points in his last four games in less enticing matchups.

There are a whole host of mid-tier defenders that I am looking into on Saturday starting with Diego Llorente ($11). Leeds defenders are attractive with their likely clean sheet bonuses on this slate, and Llorente has gotten defensive peripherals at a strong rate with his increased playing time recently.

Caglar Soyuncu ($11) has a nice matchup against Manchester City for defensive stats, but if you want some Leicester exposure, Jonny Evans ($8) can provide that for a little cheaper.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

The goalkeeper situation is not great on this slate. I think Kasper Schmeichel ($8) is a bit underpriced here. Leicester are no joke and can win this game at home. Schmeichel should also have a nice floor with the amount of shots City will put on target. He's definitely worth a look here as the second-cheapest GK available.

I don't mind the idea of Bernd Leno ($9) either. Liverpool should be able to put enough shots on goal where Leno has a decent floor with save points. Arsenal's defense has also been strong at home where they only allow 1.07 goals per game. Liverpool's attacking unit is not in form at all right now, and Leno & Co. can keep them out of the back of the net.

Ederson ($12) is somewhat discounted here on the road. City's defense is still number one in the league and can keep a clean sheet against any team in the league. Ederson's shot at a win bonus here and some save points gives him a stronger floor than normal and a big upside as well with both bonuses possible.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
