EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (4/25/21) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 4/25/21. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We are finally past that split gameweek we had during the week that left us with many single-game slates packed together. The league has returned to a schedule that is essentially normal now for a few weeks as the league begins to wrap up. There really is not a race for the title, nor is there much of a relegation battle. However, the European qualifier spots are still up in the air. The two games Sunday on the main slate don't have huge implications, however, there is still plenty of DFS to be won. I have another full breakdown for you all. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Sunday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts!

In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/25/21 for the slate that locks at 9:00 am ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Leeds vs Manchester United

Manchester United (-125) enter the slate as the largest favorite having won seven out of eight in all competitions. They also have not lost a PL game since January 27th. They face a Leeds side that has been getting some good results recently as well. They have beaten Manchester City, Fulham, and Sheffield in their last five games along with two draws against Liverpool and Chelsea in that span. This should be a pretty fun and evenly-matched game with chances coming early and often. The goal total over/under is also a slate-high 3.0, and both teams allow all peripherals at a good rate too. A game stack is appealing here.

Aston Villa vs West Brom

The late game on Sunday has Aston Villa (-110) hosting West Brom. Aston Villa are not in good form right now with three losses in their last four EPL games. They still have an upper hand here in this game against a consistently bad West Brom team that is destined to return to the Championship. WBU has been one of the worst teams on away from home this year, and they're coming off a 3-0 loss to Leicester on the road. They will likely struggle again against Aston Villa on Sunday. The goal total over/under is 2.5

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

I'm prioritizing Bruno Fernandes ($22) on this slate. He easily has the best floor/ceiling combination on the slate. Leeds allows 1.56 goals per game this year, and Fernandes has the best anytime scoring odds in this game at +135. He's a fantastic play with the way Leeds concede SOGs (3rd most) and chances created (4th most) as well. I'm going to be heavy on United attackers in this prime matchup. If Marcus Rashford ($20) makes the starting lineup, he'll be another top-tier play. Paul Pogba ($15) is a great mid-tier play in this game environment as well.

While many people will be focused on Manchester United guys, don't forget about Ollie Watkins ($21) in this dream matchup. He's facing a West Brom defense at home who have given up the most goals in the league so far at 1.94 per game, and he has the best anytime scoring odds on the slate at +125. Not to mention he is in good form with two goals in his last three games. The inconsistencies of the rest of the Aston Villa attackers makes them difficult to recommend, however, John McGinn ($13) has a nice price tag in this matchup. He makes sense as a mid-tier play with a solid floor with his ability to get attacking peripherals for them. Bertrand Traore ($13) is the same price as has more goal upside than McGinn.

Leeds' scoring at home has dropped off significantly since earlier in the season, and Manchester United defend very well on the road with only 14 goals given up in 16 games. I don't see the need to play any of their attackers here. I don't really see the need to play at West Brom goal scorers either with the way they have struggled to score all season. This is not a great matchup for them either on the road. I do like Okay Yokuslu ($7) again for super cheap. He has been getting good peripherals which he can do again against Villa, plus, his price tag allows you to get a top-tier defender.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Manchester United force the most combined defensive action on the slate which should be great for Diego Llorente ($13) to continue his good run. He probably won't score again, but against United, he definitely has the potential to hit the 20s with just peripherals. He is still a priority play for me at this position even without attacking upside.

Aston Villa allow the 2nd most clearances per game in the EPL right now. That screams Dara O'Shea ($8) value day. He is second on the team in clearances behind Kyle Bartley ($14) but he comes at a $6 price savings. I would like Bartley more if he wasn't so expensive.

Luke Shaw ($13) is my favorite defender with some attacking upside. Leeds allow a ton of chances created, and Shaw is one of the best wingbacks in the league at creating chances. He is averaging 2.82 chances created per game over his last 11 games with several games of 5+ chances created. Leeds also force a good number of other defensive stats, so Shaw has a nice floor/ceiling combo here.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Dean Henderson ($11) looks like he could get a rare start in United goal on Sunday. I think he has some pretty big upside in this matchup. As mentioned above, United has not allowed many goals this year - even on the road. Leeds also have not been scoring as many goals as they were earlier in the season, but they can still produce shots which boosts Henderson's floor with saves. He's the most likely GK to get the win bonus on this slate, and a clean sheet bonus is a real possibility as well. His ceiling remains one of the highest on the slate.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
