EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

West Ham vs Leicester

As we come down into the last weeks of the season, there are going to be some colossal matchups at both ends of the table. Two top five teams face off Sunday morning with the away team, Leicester (+140), favored just slightly. Leicester have been solidly in the top four all season but are coming off a 2-0 loss to Manchester City where they really just did not show up. They'll need to keep getting good results to stay in a UCL spot. West Ham are coming on strong again vying for their first taste of European football since 2015-16. They're currently one point ahead of Chelsea for the Europa League spot are come into this game off an important 3-2 win against Wolves. This should be a stellar game to start our Sunday between two good teams. From a fantasy perspective, however, it might not be the greatest. Vegas has some odd goal totals on this slate. This one currently sits at 2.0, but the over is -185.

Tottenham vs Manchester United

The marquee game of the day features two big six clubs going head-to-head in London. Manchester United (+145) are also slight road favorites here. They're rolling off three straight league wins. They are in a weird spot where they won't be catching the other team in Manchester at the top of the table, and they look very good for claiming a UCL spot. Tottenham, on the other hand, are desperate for points to remain in the race for a European spot. Vegas spit out another weird over/under here of 2.0 with the over at -200.

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

The final game Sunday essentially has no meaningful impact on the table. Sheffield are still dead last in the league and have virtually no hope of saving their season. They're coming off three straight losses. Arsenal (-170) have been painfully average and sit in 11th. Expect Arsenal to control - and win - this game as the better side even on the road. The current goal total over/under is also 2.0 in this game with the over at -185.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

It has been a long time since Bruno Fernandes ($22) wasn't high in my player pool. That won't change here. Fernandes has a top-tier ceiling and floor combination in the league, and that is exactly what I expect from him in this game. Tottenham allows more chances created than you might think which bodes well for Fernandes. He has obvious goal/assist upside, especially with his PK duties. With a lot of other high-end options, Fernandes might come with some lower ownership than normal as well.

Harry Kane ($22) is in one of the best goal-scoring forms in the league right now with five goals in four games. He does draw a tough matchup against a stingy United defense though. However, Kane does get up for important games and has the best anytime scoring odds in this game at +110.

Since joining the Premier League, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ($19) has nearly double the number of goals on Sundays compared to all other days combined. This year, that trend still rings true with four of his nine on Sundays. Now he gets a prime matchup against the league's worst team that allows 1.73 goals per game, and they've allowed nine in their last three. He has the second-best odds to score on the entire slate at +105. Getting additional exposure to Arsenal's attack in a game where they are heavy favorites against a poor defense is a solid idea. Emile Smith-Rowe ($14) immediately jumps to mind as a mid-tier play who should have a nice floor with his ability to create chances. Sheffield allows an average of 10.3 chances created per game which is a bottom-five mark.

Wilfred Ndidi ($13) was awfully disappointing last weekend against Manchester City with only 9.1 points. I'm going to head right back to him this week against West Ham. Most of this game will be played in the midfield which should give Ndidi a ton of opportunities to get defensive peripherals which he does so well. Youri Tielemans ($12) is also a nice mid-tier attacker who can fill a spot in a lineup that has a nice floor with attacking upside. I would not recommend going much lower than either of these two for attackers on Sunday.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Manchester United forces the most defensive action among teams on this slate (mostly from tackles and interceptions). That bodes well for Sergio Reguilon ($8) as a good value play when value will be much-needed from this position.

Sheffield United allows the third-most clearances in the league which puts Rob Holding ($10) in my player pool. He leads Arsenal in clearances per game with 5.47 and should exceed his price tag with other defensive stats. He should also be in line for a clean sheet bonus against Sheffield's feeble attack. Calum Chambers ($14) is one of the pay-up options I am considering here. He has been racking up clearances too with 5.7/game in his three starts. He has upside with his chances created especially in this game and a possible clean sheet bonus.

Luke Shaw ($12) continues to be a good mid-tier option on most slates. He gets good defensive stats and has 20+ point attacking upside with his chances created. Like I mentioned preivously, Tottenham allow more chances created than you might think for a decent defensive team. Shaw is in a position here to score in the upper-teens with defensive peripherals and a few chances created.

A cheap Sheffield defender like Kean Bryan ($8) is a recommended play against Arsenal. They force all four defensive stats at a good rate, and Bryan has been racking up games in the teens for a cheap price.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Bernd Leno ($14) is the most likely to get both bonuses on the slate. Arsenal are big favorites and should roll over this weak Sheffield team. Leno and his backline have been solid this year even on the road where they only allow 1.13 goals per game. They're facing a Sheffield team that have just 17 goals in 30 games (10 in 15 at home). Leno might not make many - if any - saves so his upside is limited.

Lukasz Fabianski ($8) is pretty cheap for being at home where West Ham have the second-best record in the league. They're facing a tough team, but they have the ability to keep Leicester scoreless and win the game which would be a massive fantasy day for Fabianski at this low price.
