EPL DFS Goalies

Mark Flekken - DK $4.1K || FD $9

Opponent - at Newcastle United

Value at the goalkeeper position is not as crystal clear as it was yesterday. There are options, however, their chances of reaching value are not as high. Mark Flekken of Brentford FC is as close as you get. The keeper has made 17 saves, conceded three goals, and recorded two clean sheets in his last five domestic starts.

The trouble is his opposition. In their last five domestic fixtures, the Magpies are the seventh-best in Goals Per 90 and the best in Shots Per 90. It will come down to how well Brentford FC’s backline can contain Alexander Isak. If the striker is contained, Flekken will have no trouble reaching value.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Kepa Kepa (DK $5.8K || FD $12) vs. Ipswich Town FC
  • Emiliano Martínez (DK $4.3K || FD $10) at Brighton & Hove Albion

EPL DFS Forwards

Evanilson - DK $6.1K || FD $20

Opponent - vs. Ipswich Town FC

Evanilson looks like he is 100 percent back now with the Cherries. The striker was out with a lengthy injury but has started four of his last five matches in all competitions. He produced three goals, 10 shots, four chances created, three tackles, and one clearance in that time frame.

No time is better than now to be running at full speed in the starting XI. Ipswich Town FC, in their last five domestic fixtures, remains a bottom-five club across the board. Specifically, they are the third-worst in Goals Against Per 90 and the second-worst in Penalty Area Defense. At only $6.1K on DraftKings, Evanilson will make his case for player of the slate.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Omar Marmoush (DK $11K || FD $22) vs. Leicester City
  • Ismaïla Sarr (DK $7.2K || FD $19) at Southampton

EPL DFS Midfielders

Eberechi Eze - DK $9.7K || FD $21

Opponent - at Southampton

There is a world where both Eberechi Eze and Phil Foden can fit in a single lineup. However, that may not be optimal. Nevertheless, the former will be highlighted here. Eze has one goal, two assists, 17 shots, nine chances created, 21 crosses, 11 corners, nine tackles, four interceptions, and two clearances in his last five appearances in all competitions.

Why is Eze being highlighted over Foden? It is very simple. Not only is Eze the clear set piece taker for his respective club, but he has arguably the slate's best matchup. Southampton is the worst club in the last five domestic fixtures across the board, and nobody is coming close. The hosts are in a world of trouble and will find themselves struggling next year in the Championship if they keep playing like this. The dynamic playmaker is expected to double his value in this meeting.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Phil Foden (DK $10.8K || FD $19) vs. Manchester City
  • David Brooks (DK $4.9K || FD $12) vs. Ipswich Town FC

EPL DFS Defenders

Kieran Trippier - DK $5.1K || FD $9

Opponent - vs. Brentford FC

Along with Evanilson, Kieran Trippier is another player who has returned to full speed in his club’s respective starting XI. The wingback has now started back-to-back matches in all competitions for the Magpies. In his last five fixtures in all competitions–three starts–he has one shot, three chances created, 11 crosses, seven corners, nine tackles, seven interceptions, and 10 clearances.

Brentford FC will not be an optimal matchup for Trippier or the Magpies. However, Trippier has returned to his majority role on set pieces for Newcastle. Until he loses his role, he will continue to be a ‘lock’ in ‘CASH’ contests.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Daniel Muñoz (DK $6.9K || FD $16) at Southampton
  • Rico Lewis (DK $3.5K || FD $9) vs. Leicester City

Corner Takers

  • AFC Bournemouth: David Brooks/Ryan Christie
  • Ipswich Town FC: Leif Davis
  • Brighton & Hove Albion: Pervis Estupiñán
  • Aston Villa: Youri Tielemans/ Marco Asensio
  • Manchester City: Phil Foden
  • Leicester City: Bilal El Khannous/Victor Kistiansen
  • Newcastle United: Kieran Trippier
  • Brentford FC: Bryan Mbeumo
  • Southampton: Ryan Manning/Mateus Fernandes
  • Crystal Palace: Eberechi Eze

Thanks for reading The Kick-Off. Good luck in all of your contests today!
