ANALYSIS: When the San Diego Chargers lost their #1 receiver, Keenan Allen, to injury in week 15 it was clear one of the WRs on the roster would need to step up. Now that week 16 has come and gone that player is Eddie Royal. Royal had a fantastic game having 12 targets, 10 catches, 94 yards and a TD. With the Chargers fighting for a playoff spot in week 17 I see Royal playing a big part in their offense again. The Chiefs defense is in the middle of the pack for WR and have shown they are vulnerable to short intermediate routes which Royal will be running. I anticipate Royal will have 7 catches and 60 to 70 yards receiving placing him in the WR3 conversation.
