DraftKings NBA Summer League Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (7/16/24): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

The top DraftKings NBA Summer League Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks to consider on July 16, 2024. Dan provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's the fifth night of NBA Summer League action in Vegas and DraftKings has three separate slates if you are gutsy enough to play all three today. However, I'll be focusing 8:00 evening slate when it comes to this article.

Plenty of names have made an impact during Summer League, and some of them are ones that no one would have ever expected. A great shooting performance, defensive explosion, or all-around display can move a player's name to the forefront of teams' priorities.

This article will highlight some DraftKings NBA Summer League daily fantasy options to consider for the four-game main slate that tips at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool.

DraftKings Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Daishen Nix, SG – MIN ($5,700)

While a lot of attention has been on rookies Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr., it's been Nix who has been the most consistent guard on the roster in Minnesota's first two games.

Nix is really more of a point guard than a shooting guard and has been running the offense on a lot of possessions. He's flashed a nice all-around game with 15 points, 5.5 boards, and 5.5 assists with 3.5 blocks/steals in 29.5 minutes per game. He's badly mispriced for his production and easily one of my favorite plays on the night.

Jamaree Bouyea, PG/SG - SAS ($5,900)

The Spurs should be a good source of value tonight, particularly their guards as rookie Stephon Castle has been announced out for the remainder of the Summer League.

Bouyea has been solid as a starter through two games, averaging 32.4 DK points in 26.5 minutes per game. He will probably be a popular play, so if you are looking to get off the chalk, then consider his teammates Jordan Hall ($5,300) and D'Moi Hodge ($4,600), who should also get plenty of minutes tonight.

Justin Champagnie, SG - WAS ($5,700)

I'm rolling with a theme of underpriced guards today. If you plug in a few of these guys, you should have plenty of salary cap left to spend up on a few of the higher-priced options.

The fourth-year player, Champagnie, is no stranger to the Summer League and a guy that you should remember from previous seasons if you played Summer League DFS before.

He's averaging 18.5 points per game through the Wizards' first two matchups and is an outstanding rebounder for his size. As long as he's going to play close to 30 minutes a night, he should continue to produce stats and is one of the best point-per-dollar values on the slate as he's averaging nearly 34 DK points per contest.

Also Consider: Carlton Carrington ($7,900), Terrence Shannon Jr. ($7,400), Johnny Davis ($5,500)

DraftKings Forwards/Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jordan Miller, SF/PF - LAC ($7,200)

We should have plenty of salary cap space tonight to go after the top scorer on the slate. Miller is averaging 28.5 points per game for the Clippers over his first two contests and is a perfect 21-21 from the free throw line.

He's been the clear number one option for L.A. in Vegas and is producing over 6x value on average so far. Just eat the chalk here and look to differentiate elsewhere.

Donovan Clingan, C - POR ($8,300)

Speaking of chalk, there is one more expensive chalky player I am rostering tonight, and I am not even going to entertain the thought of a fade.

Clingan has looked fantastic in his first two games, dominating the glass while also showing off his ability to pass and protect the rim.

He's averaging just six points per game, but his rebounding and blocked shots have been so valuable that he's averaging 33 DK points per contest. He should continue to do work on the interior tonight against Washington.

Nathan Mensah, SF/PF - SAS ($4,700)

The second-year player is an undersized center at 6-foot-8 but is a guy who hustles all over the floor and can stuff the stat sheet rather quickly.

Mensah has 19 rebounds and four blocks/steals in just 38 minutes of playing time so far this Summer. His 28.4 DK points per game in 19 minutes per game is impressive. When it comes to punt plays under 5k, we are always looking for players who can put up around 1.0 DK points per minute or more and Mensah fits the bill here.

Hopefully, his impressive play thus far will continue to earn him more minutes for the Spurs.

Also Consider: MarJon Beauchamp ($8,600), Justin Minaya ($6,400), Adem Bona ($5,900)
