DraftKings NBA DFS Picks for Today (Tuesday, 3/18/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Trae Young - Atlanta Hawks

Max Kulish's top DraftKings NBA DFS picks for today, Tuesday, 3/18/25. His favorite daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for DraftKings DFS.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Tonight we have a four-game slate, headlined by Bucks at Warriors on NBA TV. These articles focus on the best plays, typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

The key to succeeding in NBA DFS is making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always essential to have a game plan and zero in on the best players and spots before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and access our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/18/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our excellent NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EST on DraftKings. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings NBA DFS Core Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL - PF/C ($11.5K)

Giannis has continued to produce at an All-NBA level, averaging 59 fantasy PPG this season. He's posted 52+ fantasy points in 11 of his last 12 games and he possesses the highest floor/ceiling combo available on this slate. His price is an outlier, but he's head and shoulders above the rest of the options at PF. If he goes off, he could bury the rest of the field at PF.

Trae Young, ATL - PG ($9.8K)

The Hawks continue to push the pace every night (second in the NBA in Pace Rating at 103.83), making them a team to target any night they're on the slate. Young's usage rate and playmaking ability give him a reliable floor/ceiling combo, and he torched the Hornets last Wednesday for 62.75 fantasy points. He'll almost certainly be one of the most-owned players on the slate tonight.

Others Under Consideration: LaMelo Ball, CHA - PG ($9.5K), Kawhi Leonard, LAC - SF/PF ($8.2K), Damian Lillard, MIL - PG ($9K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

James Harden, LAC - PG ($10.3K)

Harden has scored 52+ fantasy points in seven of his last eight games, and on most nights he'd be one of our core plays. However, his combination of price and matchup makes him an obvious choice for tournaments tonight. The matchup with the Cavaliers will likely drive ownership down from what it should be compared to his overall level of play. He provides a nice pay-up pivot from some of the other more popular plays at PG.

Derrick White, BOS - PG/SG ($7.3K)

White always profiles as a great tournament player due to him being a high-volume third/fourth option, but he's had some explosions when one or both of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are sidelined. The Celtics will be without Brown, and it appears Tatum is on the wrong side of questionable at the time of writing. If both miss the game, all of the remaining Celtics get a huge bump, and White would be considered more of a core play.

Others Under Consideration: Onyeka Okongwu, ATL - C ($7.5K), Cameron Johnson, BKN - SF/PF ($7.1K), Donovan Mitchell, CLE - PG/SG ($8.8K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Value Picks

Al Horford, BOS - PF/C ($5.1K)

Horford has been on fire since the start of March; averaging 37.25 fantasy PPG in the five games he's played this month. Horford is coming off a rest day and should expect to see more of a role on offense than usual. As previously mentioned, should Tatum miss tonight's game Horford would be one of the biggest beneficiaries.

DaQuan Jeffries, CHA - SF/PF ($4K)

Jeffries has solidified a spot in the Hornet's rotation; he's played 30+ minutes in four straight games, which is already a great start for someone priced where he is. Miles Bridges got hurt during their game against the Clippers on Sunday, which should lead to additional opportunities for Jeffries and other members of the Charlotte frontcourt.

Others Under Consideration: Gary Parton II, GS - SG/SF ($3.9K), Wendell Moore Jr, CHA - SF/PF ($3.1K)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

Hawks at Hornets (236 O/U)

This game stands out among the rest as the best of the night. The highest implied total on the slate, two great superstar plays, and plenty of value on the cheap side make this game the starting point for all lineups tonight.

Bucks at Warriors (232 O/U)

I think this game is much more likely to hit its implied total compared to the Cavs at Clippers game (231 implied total), making it the clear second-best game environment of the night. Plenty of mid-range options with low ownership projections, opening a lot of unique lineup possibilities for tournaments.

  • My favorite OVERALL play on the slate: Trae Young
  • My favorite CASH play on the slate: Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • My favorite GPP play on the slate: James Harden
  • My favorite VALUE play: Al Horford
