DraftKings NBA DFS Picks for Today (Tuesday, 1/28/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Max Kulish's top DraftKings NBA DFS picks for today, Tuesday, 1/28/25. His favorite daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for DraftKings DFS.

Welcome back, Rotoballers! Tonight, we have a four-game main slate. These articles focus on the best plays, typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

The key to succeeding in NBA DFS is making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always essential to have a game plan and zero in on the best players and spots before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and access our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/28/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our excellent NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:30 p.m. EST on DraftKings. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings NBA DFS Core Picks

Anthony Davis, LAL - C ($10.5K)

Davis has continued on his torrid pace, posting 60+ fantasy points in three of his last four outings, including a monstrous 42/23/2/2 line last night in Charlotte. Since he's on a back-to-back, DraftKings didn't update his salary. Tonight, he gets to play the Sixers, who are still without Joel Embiid, and are flat-out too undersized and undermanned to stop Davis.

Damian Lillard, MIL - PG ($8.7K)

Lillard also did not have a full price adjustment by DraftKings after playing on Monday night, and after posting 35/5/8 he's now scored 44+ fantasy points in eight of his last nine games. Lillard has a great matchup against his former team, who are not exactly a stout defensive unit. The Blazers rank in the bottom 5 in Defensive Rating, Opponent three-point percentage, and fast-break points allowed per game (and many more team defense categories).

Others Under Consideration: Tyrese Maxey, PHI - PG ($9.8K), LeBron James, LAL - PF ($10K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Stephen Curry, GSW - PG ($8.8K)

Chef Curry hasn't exactly been cooking lately, but he has all the right ingredients prepping for tonight. Curry has been all about home cookin' this year, as his home averages for both scoring and shooting are higher compared to on the road, highlighted by his 43.5 percent from three at home compared to 36.6 percent on the road. Mix that with the Jazz allowing the second-most fantasy PPG to PGs and you have a recipe for success.

Amen Thompson, HOU - PG/SF ($8K)

Thompson is having his breakout party in 2025, as he's stepped up his game in the new year. In January he's averaging 47.1 fantasy PPG which is nearly 15 PPG higher than his season average of 32.6. His most recent three-game stretch is easily the most impressive of his career. He posted three loaded box scores against two of the best teams in the entire NBA capped off by a career-high 33 and a game-winner against the defending champion Celtics. Thompson is emerging as a star, and this could be the last time he's priced this cheap for quite some time.

Others Under Consideration: Trae Young, ATL - PG ($9K), Deni Avdija, POR - SF/PF ($7.2K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Value Picks

Taurean Prince, MIL - SF/PF ($4.2K)

With Bobby Portis likely to miss his third straight game due to personal reasons, Prince should continue being the primary benefactor. In the last two games without Portis, Prince has played 37 and 32 minutes when he typically only plays 20-24. That resulted in a combined 59 fantasy points while going 6-for-12 from downtown.

Ricky Council IV, PHI - SF/PF ($4.3K)

With Paul George back on the bench with injury, Council should find his way back into the starting lineup. When George was out for two games roughly 10 days ago, Council started both games and totaled 66.25 fantasy points over 65 minutes. The Sixers are a great source of value tonight with multiple options $5K or less.

Others Under Consideration: Isaiah Collier, UTA - PG/SG ($5.2K), Eric Gordon, PHI - SG ($4K)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

Bucks at Trailblazers (230.5 O/U)

Loaded with stars and value on the Milwaukee side, and lots of contrarian plays on the Portland side, this game has the projected environment and pricing options to really lean into it.

Jazz at Warriors (229.5 O/U)

The Jazz allow the third most PPG in the NBA and have allowed opponents to score 117+ points in all six of the games they've lost in a row.
