DraftKings NBA DFS Picks for Today (Thursday, 2/27/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Naz Reid - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings

Dan's top DraftKings NBA DFS picks for today, Thursday, 2/27/25. His favorite daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for DraftKings DFS.

There was a time when we got almost exclusively two or three-game slates on Thursday nights, but the league has done a much better job of balancing the schedule in recent years, so we have a very solid five-gamer tonight for NBA DFS on DraftKings.

Let's dive in and find some good options to build around from a DFS perspective on DraftKings. If you're looking for FanDuel-specific advantage, check out Dennis Clausen's FanDuel picks!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/27/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EST on DraftKings.

DraftKings NBA DFS Core Picks

Devin Booker, PHX – PG/SG ($8.8K)

For a small slate, there is no shortage of star power tonight. I feel like we really need to build around one of the big three from Phoenix, as they have one of the best matchups on the slate against the lowly Pelicans. The Suns have the top implied team total on the slate tonight, checking with 122 points just ahead of Denver at 121.5.

Booker has put together three straight solid outings and is now functioning as the point guard once again since the Suns moved Bradley Beal back into the starting lineup and Tyus Jones to the bench.

He's $200 cheaper than Kevin Durant and has flashed a higher ceiling than KD lately, too.

The Suns need to win this game badly to stay within shouting distance of the 10-seed and a chance at the play-in tournament. However, they simply can't stop anyone on defense, and I could see this game staying close while being the highest-scoring affair of the evening, too.

Naz Reid, MIN – PF/C ($7.9K)

Do you want a solid 5x floor from Reid in your cash game lineups? Naz has been Mr. Reliable since entering the starting lineup for Julius Randle, going for 40+ DK points in nine of his last 10 games. He flashed a solid ceiling of 50+ once and also hit for 60 DKP last week against the Thunder.

Randle remains out, as does starting center Rudy Gobert. So not only has Naz had to chip in as the second-leading scorer behind Anthony Edwards, but he's also had to crash the boards for the Wolves, grabbing 10+ boards in four of his last five games.

I like the matchup for Naz here against a Lakers team that has a clear weakness on the interior. He's a great building block and arguably still underpriced for how consistent he's been over the last three weeks.

Others Under Consideration: Luka Doncic - PG ($11K), Anthony Edwards - PG/SG ($9.1K), Zion Williamson - SF/PF ($8,700)

DraftKings NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Bradley Beal, PHX - SG/SF ($6.8K)

Not only is Beal back in the starting lineup, but he's logging heavy minutes. He's played 41 and 43 minutes in the last two games for Phoenix. He scored 55 DK points in an overtime loss to Memphis on Tuesday, adding 11 assists to his usual scoring barrage.

He's now registered at least 37 DK points in six straight games. If we want to get cheaper exposure to the Suns without paying up for Booker or Durant, Beal makes a ton of sense, given his increased minutes and the larger role of late.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL - PF/C ($10.7K)

Speaking of minutes, Giannis has now logged 32 minutes in each of his last two games. The minutes' cap may officially be gone for tonight's matchup with Denver, and the Bucks may need their superstar to play closer to 36 minutes in what should be a great game between two really good teams (and a high-scoring one, too).

Luka Doncic is probably going to scarf up a lot of the ownership at 11k tonight, with fewer players willing to pay for Giannis based on his recent box scores. But I love this matchup for Giannis and the Bucks, as the Nuggets like to get into offensive shootouts. Denver doesn't have a good matchup for Giannis, with Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. being too small and Nikola Jokic being too slow-footed to hang with Giannis's athleticism.

Others Under Consideration: Kevin Durant - PF/C ($9K), Kyrie Irving - PG ($9.2K), Brook Lopez - C ($5,600)

DraftKings NBA DFS Value Picks

Yves Missi, NOP – C ($4.7K)

Missi has been sneaky good the last three games, topping 25 DK points in all three of them while seeing his playing time slowly tick up, too. Kelly Olynyk has already been ruled out, and the Pelicans don't have many other healthy bodies who can play center.

The rookie is having a solid year and could pile up points and boards tonight against the Suns, who have allowed some big games to opposing big men lately.

Bol Bol, PHX – PF ($4.9K)

Who knows if the Suns decide to start Bol Bol again tonight or if they opt to play smaller, but the results speak for themselves - when he does start, he produces.

He's a steal here under 5k against a soft New Orleans defense. But if he doesn't start, then I'd consider fading him since his minutes have been very low in those games in which he doesn't start lately.

Naji Marshall, DAL – SF/PF ($4.8K), Max Christie, DAL – SG/SF ($5.1K)

These two are staples of my lineups when the Mavs play. Dallas continues to be short-handed without their top three big men and is forced to play P.J. Washington minutes at center. They need scorers on the floor to help Kyrie Irving carry the load, and Christie has done a good job of providing some scoring punch since coming over in the Luka trade.

Marshall is a Swiss Army Knife who can do a little of everything and has been a real asset on the boards, too, in the wake of all the injuries in the frontcourt. Both guys feel underpriced here.

Aaron Gordon, DEN - PF/C ($5.3K)

Gordon is probable for tonight's game with the Bucks, which could be a shootout. He's seen his playing time finally get back to his normal 32 minutes a game lately and has been posting 30+ DK points in three games in a row as a result.

Others Under Consideration: Jusuf Nurkic - C ($4.2K), Wendell Carter Jr. - C ($5.2K), Moses Moody - SG/SF ($4.7K)
