DraftKings NBA DFS Picks for Today (Thursday, 2/13/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Bam Adebayo - Miami Heat

Zach's top DraftKings NBA DFS picks for today, Thursday, 2/13/25. His favorite daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for DraftKings DFS.

After a massive 14-game slate last night, the NBA wraps up with a five-game slate tonight. Then, we will have a full week off for the All-Star break.

We will have to be careful again today as all the teams playing are on back-to-backs, with some teams sure to give some of their players an extra night of reset going into the break. Stay tuned! Let's dive in and find some good options to build around from a DFS perspective on DraftKings. If you're looking for FanDuel-specific advantage, check out Koby Hanson's FanDuel picks!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/13/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8:00 p.m. EST on DraftKings.

DraftKings NBA DFS Core Picks

Bam Adebayo, MIA – PF/C ($8.1K)

Bam is coming off a massive game in what ended up being a losing effort by the Heat last night. Miami held a big lead going into the fourth quarter, only to allow a huge run by OKC (21-0 to start the fourth) and give it away. Bam did everything he could, however, and finished with 57 DK points.

He has PF eligibility now, which is awesome because we can play another center with him tonight (spoiler alert - like Sabonis). I like the matchup with Dallas, who won't have any of their top-4 big men (Anthony Davis, P.J. Washington, Daniel Gafford, and Dereck Lively II).

Domantas Sabonis, SAC – C ($9.5K)

I ended up not playing any Sabonis on DK yesterday with all the other values available at the center position. It worked out as he "only" had 47 DK points against the Pelicans. He will get to face them again tonight for the third time in a week and I like his chances of continuing to dominate them inside.

He had 15 boards last night and has at least 15 in all three meetings with them this season. He just needs to get the scoring going and he could smash his price tag. His floor is always high and on this small slate, I think we want some safe raw points, too, and a lot of other stars we can spend up for tonight are risky in terms of potentially being rested or in tougher matchups.

Others Under Consideration: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG ($11K), Anthony Edwards - PG/SG ($9.6K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Amen Thompson, HOU - PG/SF ($8.6K)

Thompson had another impressive performance last night as he led the Rockets to a big win over Phoenix. The sophomore had another triple-double and finished with 58 DK points in the process. He played 41 minutes but should be asked to go out there again tonight and do it again with Fred VanVleet still injured and Tari Eason already ruled out for tonight's game.

He could be facing the Warriors' backups, too, I would be surprised if we see Golden State play all their veterans. Regardless of who's out there for the Warriors, Thompson has flashed a huge ceiling now multiple times when Houston is banged up and missing guys. Don't be surprised if he puts on another show tonight.

James Harden, LAC - PG ($9.2K)

Harden had a quiet 47 DK points last night as the Clippers whooped up on a Memphis team that was without Ja Morant. He now has 47 or more DK points in three straight games and will face a Utah team tonight that has been giving up big numbers to opposing point guards all season.

Kawhi Leonard has already been ruled out for tonight's game as well, which should mean even more shots and overall usage for Harden. If Utah puts up enough of a fight, we could get a vintage Harden performance tonight and a ceiling game to help your lineup jump to the top of the leaderboard.

Others Under Consideration: Ivica Zubac- C ($7.6K), Kyrie Irving - PG ($9.3K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Value Picks

Brandin Podziemski, GSW – PG/SG ($5.7K)

I think we see the Warriors rest Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler tonight. Steve Kerr made it known in his press conference that he wasn't happy about playing a late game last night and then an early game today and implied he could rest the veterans.

If that's the case, then we can fire up multiple Warriors for value tonight, with Podz being the first click.

Jose Alvarado, NOP – PG ($5.0K)

Alvarado finally had the breakout game that many were waiting for last night against the Kings. He had 18 points and nine assists, finishing with 42 DK points. He doesn't need to be that good tonight, even 60-70% of that output is going to make him a great value play.

Naji Marshall, DAL – SF/PF ($5.5K)

Marshall came off the bench for Dallas but played 30 minutes. He's been super steady in terms of his production with 25+ DK points now in five straight games.

Max Christie, DAL – SG/SF ($5.2K)

Christie drew the start for Dallas with P.J. Washington out and played a whopping 39 minutes for his new team. He continues to be productive as a Maverick, as he has gone for 30+ DK points in all five games since coming over from the Lakers.

Moses Moody, GSW - PG/SF ($4.4K)

Moody played well off the bench again last night, finishing with 25 DK points in 27 minutes. He could draw a start tonight if the Warriors rest their starters, so keep an eye on that news. At least we should know that info before lock, as it's the first game of the evening.

Others Under Consideration: Quinten Post - C ($4.4K), Cam Whitmore - SG/SF ($4.3K), Kessler Edwards - SF/PF ($3.8K)
