DraftKings NBA DFS (1/2/18): Lineup Picks, Sleepers and Advice

The top NBA DFS lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/2/18. Tom Belluco's daily fantasy basketball analysis and sleepers for building your optimal DFS rosters.

It's officially 2018, and I wish I could say that Tuesday's NBA DFS slate will be a little more full than Monday's, but we only have five games. Even still, five is better than three or two (which we have coming up on Thursday... ugh), so we can't complain. Let's help you build that bankroll up early in the new year.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/2/18. I'll mention a couple of the best values at each position and throw in a GPP tournament play or two as well.

Hit me up on Twitter @BellRoto with any questions or comments. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. Let's get to it. Let's do this!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Devin Booker - SG/SF, vs. ATL ($9,100)

Devin Booker's price has really begun to rise since his return from injury, but for good reason. He has put up usage rates of 40%, 39%, and 36% in his three games back. If Booker can start converting on more of his mid-range attempts, he'll be a 10k player in no time. In a game in which Atlanta will be happy to keep pace with the super fast Suns, Booker seems really safe with loads of upside.

Dennis Schroder - PG, @ PHO ($7,300)

Dennis Schroder gets one of the best matchups a point guard can ask for: The Phoenix Suns. The athletic, German point guard has reached "5x" based on this price in six out of his last seven contests. Those solid results come on the heels of of usage rates exceeding 25% and shot attempts between 15 and 25. In a matchup that should boast his peripheral abilities, I love Schroder in cash games and GPPs.

Other DraftKings DFS Guards to Consider: Damian Lillard, Tyreke Evans, Marco Belinelli

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Blake Griffin - PF/C, vs. MEM ($8,400)

Not much to analyze here. Blake Griffin is playing like the injury is long gone, and his game log screams that this price is too low. Despite a seemingly tough matchup against Memphis, I'll take Griffin's floor in cash games if you can fit him in. We've seen his 60-point ceiling plenty of times too.

Ersan Ilyasova - SF/PF, @ PHO ($5,100)

This should be a great environment for everyone involved, and I certainly think Taurean Prince could be put here as well. However, I'll take the $400 savings and the rebounding floor of Ersan Ilyasova for my cash game team. The stretch four has put up 30 or more DraftKings points in four of his last five contests, and that's about six times his salary. The pace provides a great floor, and Ilyasova's three-point ability provides a massive ceiling too.

Other DraftKings DFS Forwards to Consider: Kawhi Leonard, Taurean Prince, Marquese Chriss

DraftKings DFS Centers

Dwight Howard - C, @ SAC ($7,400)

Sacramento has struggled against centers again this season, and they have specifically struggled against big men who are able to dominate the paint and the boards. Enter Dwight Howard. The once dunk contest champ has been ruthless on the boards this year, and he's even provided some safety with a bit of offensive prowess. This price is simply too low for Howard's extremely safe floor. Fire him up in cash games and tournaments and hope his typical double-double turns into  a 20-20 game

Other DraftKings DFS Centers to Consider: Alex Len, Tyson Chandler
