DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks (2/26/24): NHL DFS Lineups

alex ovechkin NHL DFS lineup picks daily fantasy hockey draftkings fanduel

Jon Irvin's NHL DFS picks for today's contests on FanDuel and DraftKings. Use Jon's picks to win money playing NHL DFS on 2/26/23.

Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally, my name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels and know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in the MLB and NHL. I enjoy the deep dumpster diving so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays. I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform. We now have enough data to focus on positive and negative trends by implementing my trend chart where I look at both L25 and L10 to help see which teams are trending in which direction.

Welcome back to the discount rack! Today's DFS content will be for the main slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel for Monday, February 26, 2024.  We have an interesting 4-gamer today highlighted by Edmonton hosting Los Angeles which is filled with pay-up goodness.  Unfortunately, that game offers little value, but fear not there are still a few cheap spots on tonight's slate we can get to.

After reading this, jump into the RotoBaller Discord NHL channel and chat it up with all the other great minds about today's slate. Don’t forget to check out our valuable NHL tools, including the new NHL DFS Heat Map.

NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 2/26/24

As stated earlier, I have begun to implement my personal trend chart. Below, you'll see stats that reflect the average of L25 and L10. This happens to weigh L10 heavier, which tightens our sample and shows both positive and negative trends.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Ilya Sorokin - DK $7.1K || FD $7.2K

Opponent - Dallas Stars

A Jekyll and Hyde type goalie this year, Sorokin has had his ups and downs for sure, today though offers a decent shot volume for a discounted price. The Stars have been on a small downtrend in terms of offense so today may be the perfect time to roster Ilya.

Others to consider: Joey Daccord (DK $7.4K || FD $7.5K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Connor McMichael- DK $3.6K || FD $4.3K

Opponent - Ottawa Senators

The second-best Connor Mac on the slate is coming in red hot. We can't pick a better spot today than centering the Capitals' top line with Ovie. Connor's 5v5 TOI has been maintained and he's also seeing time on the PP2 unit with Ovie as well. Metrics also show room for improvement with an xGF over 1.5 goals.

Others to consider: Jean-Gabriel Pageau (DK $3.1K || FD $4.1K )

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

James van Riemsdyk - DK $4.2K || FD $5.2K

Opponent -Seattle Kraken

Seems today is brought to you by value players skating with stud linemates. In my life, I have learned that people with Van in their names tend to come through in the clutch. Rob van Dam excellent wrestler, Martin van Buren - the 8th president, comedian Dick van Dyke, and Van de Kamp makes amazing fish sticks. That brings us to JVR who gets to skate with Pastrnak tonight in Seattle on L1 as well as gets power play time on the second unit.

Others to consider: Vladimir Tarasenko ( DK $4.6K || FD $5.1K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Sebastian Aho - DK $2.5K || FD $3.6K

Opponent -Dallas Stars

With no Mayfield in the lineup tonight we should see Mayfield lite at a big discount. Aho won't light the lamp but he will fill the stat sheet which is all we ask from a min price defenseman.

Others to consider: Brandt Clarke (DK $4.3K || FD $4.5K)

Below I've included a chart of defensemen over the past month concentrating more on peripheral floors rather than relying on goals/assists.
