NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 12/13/23
There are five games scheduled for tonight's NHL games. Pittsburgh and Winnipeg are the only two teams playing back-to-back games. The defensive-minded Bruins will be taking on the high-scoring Devils. The Sabres will start their Western road trip in Colorado, and the game could potentially see 10 goals. Let's take a closer look at tonight's matchups.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Sam Montembeault - DK $7.4K || FD $7.6K
Opponent - Pittsburgh Penguins
Montembeault has scored at least 13.6 fantasy points in his last six starts. In four of those starts, he has scored at least 24 fantasy points. The variance in the goalie position from slate to slate is unpredictable, so I prefer to choose a goalie who is playing well and is at home. Moreover, a team playing on a back-to-back is a good spot to target.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Brock Nelson - DK $6.2K || FD $7.2K
Opponent - Anaheim Ducks
Nelson is a hockey player who is often underestimated, and despite his price increasing to over 6K tonight, he will likely go unnoticed. However, I'm not concerned about that. The reason being is he is up against a Ducks team who is starting a road trip on the East Coast. The Ducks have a tendency to give up numerous high-danger chances and shots per game. Therefore, Nelson and his line are in an excellent position to have a remarkable game tonight.

Opponent - Winnipeg Jets
Fiala is a player who either performs exceptionally well or not at all, and recently he has been underperforming when it comes to scoring goals. However, he does shoot the puck frequently, and his line on home ice is always a threat to the opposing team. Tonight, they are up against the Jets, who are playing on back-to-back nights. Despite the risk, I am willing to bet that Fiala will be able to score a goal tonight.

Although his potential for high scores is limited, considering his price and the game environment tonight, I will have some shares of him. He has the ability to take some shots and score some points, but it may not always be consistent."
