DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks (11/04/24): NHL DFS Lineups

Jon Irvin's NHL DFS picks for today's contests on FanDuel and DraftKings. Use Jon's picks to win money playing NHL DFS on 11/4/24.

Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally, my name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels and know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in the MLB and NHL. I enjoy the deep dumpster diving so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays.

I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system, but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform.

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends we're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside! Today's DFS content will be for the main slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel for Monday, November 4th, 2024 at 7:00 PM EDT.

DraftKings and FanDuel NHL DFS Picks: First Look Stats

After reading this, jump into the RotoBaller Discord NHL channel and chat with all the other great minds about today's slate. Don’t forget to check out our valuable NHL tools, including the NHL DFS Heat Map.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Value in net is key on DK with a three-point bonus at the 35-save mark. We can afford to give up an extra goal or two if our goalie can see a steady shot volume against him. Those extra few hundred can get us those top-line forwards.

 Jacob Markstrom- DK $7.6K || FD $7.7K

Opponent - Edmonton Oilers

Options are bleak for a two-game slate. I'll just focus on saving a buck and facing shots. The Oilers are without McDavid so their firepower isn't as potent as usual. If Markstrom can get a few saves without getting torched then I'll consider it a win.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Ryan O'Reilly - DK $4.9K || FD $7.0K

Anytime we can get a top-line center under 5k always presents some kind of value, when it's O'Reilly alongside one of the top scorers in the league in Filip Forsberg, that value is a near lock. Ryan and the rest of NSH1 are starting a tad slow this year but the metrics are there, especially at home where they still have an xGF over 3 as well as 15.9 HDCF/60.

Opponent -  Los Angeles Kings

Others to consider: Eric Haula (DK $3.6K || FD $5.5K )

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

 Alex Turcotte - DK $3.0K || FD $4.1K

Opponent -Nashville Predators

Turcotte and LAK3 have been playing great, well enough that Alex has now switched spots with Quinton Byfield and has moved up to the top line with Kempe and Kopitar. Unfortunately a lack of time on the PP keeps his minutes in the low teens, but getting more TOI with established playmakers is always a positive spot. It also doesn't that Turcotte is leading the LAK in both away xGF (4.16) as well as HDCF (17.19).

Others to consider: Akil Thomas (DK $3.1K || FD $4.6K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Alex Carrier - DK $2.9K || FD $4.3K

Opponent - Los Angeles Kings

Dealers choice, anything goes with Carrier. Active both in SOG and blocks as well as an assist or two is never out of the option. The only issue is consistently we don't know what to expect but for under 3k, any output is enough to make value. With TOI usually hovering around the 20-minute mark, Alex should have ample time to collect either shots or blocks.

Others to consider: Brenden Dillon (DK $3.2K || FD $4.0K)

Don't be afraid to go off the beaten path and distinguish yourself from the masses, and as always, good luck, RotoBallers!
